The mission of the City of Monroe Parks and Recreation Dept is to enhance the lives of its citizens and visitors by encouraging a healthy lifestyle and offering safe and quality parks and recreation experiences that highlight our area's natural and cultural resources. Category 5! FREE Concert in St. Mary's Park

The Monroe Public Safety Department is announcing that on Thursday 8/15/24 at 6:00 PM, West Elm Avenue will be shut down between Borgess Avenue and North Monroe Street for the Thursday Evening Summer Concert Series at St. Mary's Park. We are expecting larger than normal crowds at this concert and for the safety of the concert goers and motorists, West Elm Avenue will be shut down until approximately 10:00 PM. This week's feature is Category 5. We hope to see you out there!!! 🚧🚔🎼🎸

E. Coli levels East of Macomb Street Bridge are still high, so the advisory will NOT be lifted. While we are not encouraging anyone to get in the water, we have a great opportunity to get some shoreline cleaning done! We’re here now for registration and the event briefing begins at 9 AM!

Please consider still joining us! We have rubber boots, gloves, hand washing stations and LOTS of sanitizer! We also have some amazing raffle prizes to give away and delicious food and drink from our local businesses (𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙨𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨, 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚!)
