Don't miss the Holiday Open House at the Longino House in Monticello this Saturday from 1 - 4 p.m. Located behind the fire station, the Longino House has been decorated for the holidays and free tours in honor of the 200th birthday of Territorial Lawrence County. Featuring music on the lawn, carriage rides, and refreshments, this celebration promises fun for the whole family.

Starting on December 6th with the New Hebron Christmas Parade at 1:30 PM, the Birthday of Territorial Lawrence County at the Longino Home from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, opening of the time capsule at Runnels Creek Park in Monticello at 3:00 PM, and ending with the Monticello Christmas Parade at 5:30 PM. Drive through the Atwood Water Park for the Living Life of Christ featuring scenes from the Life of Christ presented by many local churches representing different denominations. The Monticello Marketplace Jingle Bell Jubilee is coming up this Saturday! It is shaping up to be fabulous with tons of new vendors, a chili cookoff, bike/trike/wagon parade, Miss Mississippi, Veterans' Outreach Event, pictures with Santa, and more, more, more!
