Each year, approximately 35,000 people visit Montreat Conference Center to reunite with family and friends, to attend conferences or church retreats, and to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of God’s creation.

You may have recently heard that our beloved Montreat Store Manager, Jane Bannerman, has decided to retire after 41 years of faithful service! This means that between now and the first of the year, we are accepting applications for a full-time Montreat Store Manager responsible for overseeing all store operations. Author, speaker, and friend of Montreat John Philip Newell is releasing a new book! The Great Search forges a new path toward a true spiritual home as John Philip teaches the importance of embracing a deep connection to the natural world.
To celebrate the book's release, we will host a special evening event on October 24. Also called The Great Search, this celebration will feature traditional Celtic music, fellowship, and the opportunity to purchase a copy of the book and have it signed. As the 2024 summer season comes to a close, we want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our Summer Staff! These young adults each played a pivotal role in welcoming and engaging every conferee, Clubbie, home owner, and guest who passed through the gate over the last ten weeks.
