It's been a slow start to winter this year, is it here yet?! Not much snow at this point, but we're stoked to have some firewood cut up at camp and have opened up some availability if you're looking for a little get away. If you haven't stayed with us before, you'll find info about our yurt 'The Nellie' on Grant Lake in the booking link below. Most of what we do up at camp is in the summer, but we love the idea of sharing this spot with peeps that just want to get out and enjoy Alaska in the winter time as well. Maybe grab a book, cozy up around the wood stove, play some cards and enjoy!

We’re really excited for 2025 but what a send off to the last day of 24! From an epic fireworks show over Trail Lake to natures most beautiful show of her own, the Aurora showed up just after the fireworks ended. Wow! Happy New Year everybody!

Field trip! It was a great day on the water with the Seward Connections crew, and a huge thank you to Estes Brothers Grocery for the surprise hot chocolate delivery to help us end our kayaking adventure on a sweet note. We ❤️ Moose Pass!

Soaking up the end of August. ☀️ Each day we have 5 to 6 fewer minutes of light than the day before, but more and more gorgeous yellow leaves are popping up. Looking forward to trading in our sunglasses for fall colors!

Moose Pass family moves into a garage, starts small tourism business focused on sharing their love of small town Alaska and the natural world that surrounds them.

Thank you to the community of Moose Pass for making this story possible!

As you may have seen in the Moose Pass Messenger, all attending members of the Moose Pass Sportsmen's Club unanimously voted 'Yay' to a motion passed to allow Moose Pass Adventures to initiate a land use agreement for the portion of land just south of the Moose Pass Volunteer Fire Department.

We can't tell you how nourishing to our souls it was to hear no 'Nays' and all those 'Yays' along with so many other comments of support from our community members for this.

Hello Winter! Spoiler Alert: We decided to open up some winter yurt dates today! The white stuff came in fast and deep already and we couldn't be happier. It was pretty amazing to see the community of Moose Pass come together to help each other and make sure everyone had what they needed during such a winter blast! Speaking of local love...Wow. The gratitude shared for our first summer season operating 'The Nellie', our yurt on Grant Lake, was overwhelmingly positive and rewarding.
We had a lot of requests as to whether we'd be open for winter. The answer is YES! With a few days of skating under our belt and grooming already underway on neighboring trails, we're just getting geared up for a great winter here in Moose Pass.
We thought it might be nice to get these dates open now, in case you're hanging with friends or family over Thanksgiving, thinking about making plans for the winter. Link to book in comments below.

Thank you to our awesome neighbors, Brad and Diane at Scenic Mountain Air, for letting us join their ”date” on Tuesday. They invited us to hop in the back of their floatplane and took us up to check out the fall colors from the air. It was awesome getting to see the lakes we’ve been kayaking on all summer from a different perspective. What a great end of season adventure. 🧡💛 Thank you for letting us tag along!

Today marks the official fist day of fall, and we are soaking it in with gorgeous weather and 12 hours 15 minutes of daylight. Each day over the next month, we’ll say goodbye to over 5 minutes of light. Every. Single. Day. But you know what? We’re here for it. 🍁 But for now, we’re leading one more Trail Lake Kayak Tour at 4:30pm today, where we’ll enjoy the gorgeous views and stunning autumn colors.

Springtime in Alaska!

With temperatures in the 40’s and the sun staying up until close to 9pm, kayaking is in the air. We are excited to dig out our kayaks and get back on the water. And that’s no joke (even if it is April fool’s day)!
