We did a half day in the bay trip Monday! The group from MI found some Pacific cod, halibut, quill back rockfish and po***ck.

The GoneAgain passed its 5 Star United States Coast Guard inspection again today! We voluntary enter into this program because at the end of the day this captain is coming home! We carry a lot of extra safety equipment on board that’s not required, but is sure nice to have if something happens to your boat or another boat in the area. Whether you fish with us or another company, you can’t go wrong if their vessel has pasted the five star inspection.

Group from MN went 1 for 2 on Kings today. They got to see several orcas and a mountain goats. There was even a black bear out in a slide across the bay.

Clients took their fresh fish to Apollo’s restaurant in Seward. They do a nice job of grilling, frying and broiling your catch to order.

My group from Indiana had a nice flat bay day! They caught a king salmon, halibut and gray cod. Large pods of Dall porpoise all over the bay and we trolled past some mid slope mountain goats.

Took a little break from fishing and headed south for a little South TX hunting! Aoudad and Javelina hunt. Saw a lot of Aoudad up in the rocks. They run a long way when spooked.

Some days the king salmon don’t like to bite. Always good when the halibut bite on trolling gear in a snowstorm. Had the heater on high all day yesterday for my Louisiana friends.

Solo trip to drop the crab pot and do some fishing. Head of the bay was glass today. Unfortunately king salmon do not hang out at the head of the bay this time of year. Found a nice 11lbs white king and some gustily winds and a few cod down deep. Working on catching a king salmon in Resurrection Bay each month for 2024.

While some people came to Seward for the Polar Bear Jump today. We decided to fish for King Salmon in the calm ocean waters today. Had the stove turned on, so it was 68 degrees in the cabin of the boat.

Volunteer to be one of the cooks for the Seward Children’s Museum fundraiser. The event was a sell out. Thanks to Captain Jacks in Seward Alaska for supplying the Dungeness crab and processing our clients fish during the season. I made my Wedding Day Crab stuffed mushrooms and North Gulf Coast crab and razor clam dip. Made the same recipe 29 plus years ago for my wedding party guests in Yakutat, AK.

Great time to be on the water. Have charter dates available this week and a few next week. I did a solo test trip yesterday as the wind finally died down.

Ok I’m flying back to Alaska today. Had fun hunting and fishing in MT and MO. Shot ducks, snipe, grouse and turkey. Visited with relatives and saw the Texas Tenors show in Branson. Will be on the water tomorrow dropping a crab pot and catching king salmon!

Today was a great day to be on the water! This is South Beach the location of Casey’s Eagle Scout Project. Dropped him off on the beach to do an inspection of the area.

Was a little natical coming in yesterday evening. Rear camera takes some good live video. Great weather this morning. Crab season starts soon!

Fish are still around seward. Did a little test solo fishing yesterday evening for the Sat and Sunday charters. Got a nice 22lbs white king, black cod, 25lbs halibut and a coho in two hours.
