A old friend and good feller, Robert Hill gave me this set of maps of Cave Run Lake. They are from 1959 and super detailed, showing property lines and owners names, elevations, roads, ponds, pipelines, buildings, cemeteries, and more. The set covers everything from the dam all the way to longbow marina in Beavercreek. And way past mine branch, up the Licking River. Pouring through them has been very educational.

It will have an effect locally also. The last time it happened in 2013, all the ramps were closed, along with Twin K***s campground, Stoney Cove and the spillway. I don't know if it will play out that way this time, but we'll know by Monday morning for sure.

The ramifications of a government shutdown would stretch across the country, impacting recreation areas such as Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
