📣 Big Changes at Free Radical Ranch! 🌟
Today marks a new chapter as all the farm animals have moved to their new homes. The last two pigs are staying with a neighbor until they get travel papers from the vet, then they’ll be off to Western New York.
It’s been an emotional and transformative five months, starting in mid-January, with around 150 animals and a lot of belongings to rehome and downsize. Yesterday, the last of my fiber animals, the Katahdin hair sheep flock, and the remaining pigs found their new homes.
This morning, I attended the new members brunch at the Women’s Art Club of Cincinnati, a step towards embracing this new lifestyle. Next, I’ll be visiting my parents in Buffalo before diving fully into my fiber arts and art quilting business in July.

Introducing you to Edgar, our awesome Muscovy duck drake! As he grows older, you'll notice his bill getting gnarlier and gnarlier.
Edgar has his own unique way of expressing himself—he can't quack like other ducks, but he sure knows how to make some interesting hissing noises! Back when he was in the coop, he would hiss to beg for food for his girlfriends.
But now, Edgar is a confident and independent duck who roams around fearlessly. He's even figured out how to sneak into the yard and make himself at home on the porch, where he enjoys a refreshing sip from the dog bowl.

Nature never fails to amaze us here at Free Radical Ranch, and we recently had a truly incredible experience with a swarm of honeybees right on our farm! 🍯🐝
As the heat of the day settled in, we noticed a majestic swarm of bees resting peacefully in a nearby tree. It was a mesmerizing sight to behold, as thousands of bees gathered together, creating a buzzing spectacle that filled the air with their gentle hum. 🌳🐝
We took a moment to marvel at the beauty and intricacy of this natural phenomenon, appreciating the important role these industrious insects play in pollination and sustaining our ecosystem. 🌸🌼
