What do you do to prepare for bad weather in your area? 👇🏻

For me, the worst part of a storm is waiting for it to officially arrive.

We have been keeping busy working and cleaning doing laundry etc. in case we do lose power for an extended period of time.

The anxiety is high, but my ride on my Peloton helped that and also calls with friends.

We are as prepared as we can be. Now we wait.

Right now we are getting outer bands and it is been raining all day.

Prayers for Florida.

For those of you who have been checking in, thank you. 🥰
We are as prepared as we can be.
We are located in the middle of the state of Florida, so usually by the time it gets to us it is not too bad.
However, I am ready in case our power goes out.
We will likely get some wind and rain.
I am keeping a close eye on the storm and am praying for whatever area Milton decides to make landfall. The storm is expected to now make landfall Thursday morning.
To all of my Floridians, stay safe and reach out if you all need anything. All of our power is underground so we typically do not lose power. ❤️
If you are traveling to a place affected by the storm, please remember to be patient: 🌍
1. Expect Disney and Universal to close at least one day and there will be a lot of rain. However, I grab a poncho and go and enjoy the lower crowds if the parks are open. 🌧
2.There will be flight delays and cancellations. ✈️
3. If ports are open, cruises will move around the storm.
If you are traveling you have a few options: 🚢
4. Call your supplier and see if you can change dates or cancel without penalty (note I do this for my clients). Be patient as wait times may be long. 📱
4. Go, but expect that there may be some interruption of services while in destination depending on where you are traveling.
5.. Once a storm is named, travel protection often will no longer cover storm related instances. As a result, I always advise my clients to purchase it as soon as they book for scenarios just like this.
6. If you are traveling to any areas affected by hurricanes in the future keep following because wherever this storm hits will likely have impacts for months and even years to come.
I will keep you all updated as I can.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out.
We are safe and had only had some wind and a little bit of rain in our area.
We did lose power for about an hour, but we made the most of it and broke out Candyland and played by lantern.
Feeling very sad and heavy for the rest of the state.
My heart. 💔

Sending love and praying for safety for all impacted by 🌀Beryl.

At a Glance this could be really bad for the Lesser Antilles. If you don’t know where those are, they are located south of Dominican Republic and just below Puerto Rico. I’ve circled them below.

It includes Barbados and St Lucia, who are now closed to incoming tourists. Outbound flights are still hustling to get out.
Hurricane

🌀 Beryl is located a few hundred miles east of the Caribbean.

Beryl is forecast to become at least a 3 and possible Category 4 hurricane before reaching the Windward Islands Monday.

After that, its future in the rest of the Caribbean Sea is uncertain later this week.

It could pose a threat to several other islands and Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula which includes Cancun, Riviera Maya and Isla/Playa Mujeres.

Please remember people over vacations. People over everything. These islands know how to handle this but it doesn’t make it any less scary or life threatening.

It is extremely early in the season for a big storm. But I will always keep my circle updated.
