For those of you who have been checking in, thank you. 🥰
We are as prepared as we can be.
We are located in the middle of the state of Florida, so usually by the time it gets to us it is not too bad.
However, I am ready in case our power goes out.
We will likely get some wind and rain.
I am keeping a close eye on the storm and am praying for whatever area Milton decides to make landfall. The storm is expected to now make landfall Thursday morning.
To all of my Floridians, stay safe and reach out if you all need anything. All of our power is underground so we typically do not lose power. ❤️
If you are traveling to a place affected by the storm, please remember to be patient: 🌍
1. Expect Disney and Universal to close at least one day and there will be a lot of rain. However, I grab a poncho and go and enjoy the lower crowds if the parks are open. 🌧
2.There will be flight delays and cancellations. ✈️
3. If ports are open, cruises will move around the storm.
If you are traveling you have a few options: 🚢
4. Call your supplier and see if you can change dates or cancel without penalty (note I do this for my clients). Be patient as wait times may be long. 📱
4. Go, but expect that there may be some interruption of services while in destination depending on where you are traveling.
5.. Once a storm is named, travel protection often will no longer cover storm related instances. As a result, I always advise my clients to purchase it as soon as they book for scenarios just like this.
6. If you are traveling to any areas affected by hurricanes in the future keep following because wherever this storm hits will likely have impacts for months and even years to come.
I will keep you all updated as I can.
