These restaurants and these humans. So. Much. Love. And admiration, pride, gratefulness. You’d be hard pressed to find chefs willing to go to the lengths these folks do in order to the source the best, most local ingredients. I get asked for restaurant recommendations all the time, and I always say that literally no food anywhere compares to & creations. On top of that they are absolutely incredibly people.

We feel so honored to have the opportunity to provide some seaweed things and so blessed to call you friends.

🌈 Happy Trans Day of Visibility! 🌈

At Kelpful, we believe in celebrating and amplifying the voices of the transgender community. Today, we want to take a moment to share something personal about one of our founders, Jules aka Kaptain Kelp.

Kelpful was not only founded and run by women, but it is also led by a proud trans individual. While many assume Jules is cisgender and a woman, Jules identifies as non-binary. She doesn’t fit into the traditional boxes of gender and prefer to use she/her pronouns, or just her name.

Jules openly shares their journey of self-discovery and the challenges she faces, such as body dysmorphia and the constant questioning of their identity within the LGBTQIA+ community. But despite these challenges, Jules has found love, acceptance, and support within her community.

It’s important for us to create a safe and inclusive space where everyone can be seen and loved for who they truly are. We are grateful for the wonderful community that has embraced Jules and supported her journey.

So today, let’s celebrate Jules and all the incredible individuals who courageously live their truth. Join us in spreading love and acceptance, not just today, but every day. 🌈🧜‍♂️❤️
