Welcome to the property of the original Singing Eagle Lodge on Squam Lake. This 9.70-acre property with 452' of water frontage has been in our family for 58 years. It was once a summer camp called "Singing Eagle L
odge" 1924 to 1966. young women learned about horsemanship, canoeing, fishing, archery, and basic woodworking skills. Listen to the loons cry as you breathe in the fresh mountain air while enjoying small secluded coves where birds are singing and woodland creatures are scurrying about the edges. Squam possesses a beautiful venue for the artist, painter, photographer, writer, bird watcher, mushroom seeker, fisherman, sailor & nature lover. There are a multitude of trails to rocky mountaintops along with old & current logging trails for all levels of fitness. Gas-up and explore the infamous Kancamagus Highway winding through the White Mountain National Forest. It's always fantastic, especially in the fall! It's also an exhilarating motorcycle tour with plenty of covered bridges to ride through. The view from the beach is straight out Moultonborough Bay with a view of East Rattlesnake Mountain along with many silhouettes of mountains beyond. Stay-in, and enjoy cooking and being surrounded by nature in Foxlet's charming kitchen. The bathroom has been brought to life by local muralist Cat Magnant. She recently brightened up the place by painting the floor and lower walls into a nature scene that dives you even deeper into the woods! The walk-out deck provides plenty of space with a large Amish made picnic table and woodland views that are sure to bring you peace. The deck was designed to fit a 10' x 10' tent to fit over the table. Back in the day, Foxlet was the councilors cabin, and we added a large bedroom to accommodate a king size bed. Our very first guest attended camp here, and became one of the original camp councilors. Peggy reminisced during her two-week stay, and told me her personal stories while attending and working at the camp. Grab your towel and head toward the lake and relax on the Adirondack chairs at the waters edge. The double kayak and canoe can be launched at the beach. There are motorboat rentals available at Squam Boats. Upon your arrival there will be a welcome book containing information that directs you in finding your way around the property. Provided are:
