I’ve always been creative & crafty, and I’ve come a long way. As a pre-schooler, I was frequently grounded from the scissors because I cut small paper scraps (and yes - it was torture!) and because I'd use crayons to draw stick figures on the walls (my 4-year-old brain couldn’t comprehend what was wrong with drawing on that large blank canvas). Now, I own an entire house where using scissors & cut

ting little pieces of paper are encouraged… and I can do whatever I want to the walls! This is an opportunity that I never thought possible. It’s only by the grace of God (and a very talented family) that this dream became a reality. With the support of my amazing husband and family, we’re able to offer women’s groups an opportunity to gather, craft, and hopefully leave rejuvinated. We want you to feel inspired to create something beautiful while you are here and leave with a renewed spirit.

"Our hostess was perfect. The food service was filling and incredible, and I had help with my carrying my supplies. The rooms are quaint, the beds are so comfortablee, and the interior rooms are homey. I love tht there is walk-in shower, and plenty of amenities in case you forget something. The retreat is close to Birch Run & Frankenmuth, too. This is my second visit and I'll will be back again."

Last year, three of us stayed during our December single crafters weekend. This year we are full! I am eager to meet some new friends. Due to demand, we've added another Single Crafter weekend. Get away for a few days in January or end of Feb, just you or a few friends, for only $125*/Fri-Sun.

I'm so thankful for all those who have helped me out in life, and working on the retreat. My husband does so many extra things, and my Uncle Bruce has put in countless hours to help me renovate it. My parents, my kids, and so many friends have taken time out of their schedules to help renovate, clean, and with events. Thank you all!

3 SPOTS LEFT for our upcoming Single Crafter's Weekend! Create & Take Retreat has a few dates coming up for solo crafters and small groups that are looking for a low-cost get-away. Guest can use our fully furnished kitchen. We're located just south of Birch Run (outlet mall) and Frankenmuth, MI, right off of I-75. You'll love our cozy decor, spacious craft room, and quiet bedrooms. Loading and unloading is close to the craft room, and we are within 15 minutes to many restaurants and all the major craft stores.
