Fire on the Grand Banks in the boatyard next to us.
Shenanigan is 🫠 along starboard. The fire was so hot it melted our wenches.
No one was injured.

Setting Sail with a Courageous Kid on a Valiant Voyage with 🌞 Sundog Sailing Charleston 🌞!

Good times out on the water sailing in the Charleston Harbor.!

Taking a much needed break from all of the MUSC Children's hospital visits and getting some fresh air!!
We waved to all of the people fighting cancer on the 10th floor of the children's hospital, pointed into the wind, raised the sails, and headed out towards the Ocean on a family adventure.... Let's go Sailing!!

Removed the bow pulpit and anchor to reduce the damage, but, well, eh....

What an awesome experience with a Courageous Kidz Sailor aboard Sailing Yacht Shenanigan!

Courageous Kidz recently connected us with Valiant Voyages, a non-profit based out of CT that recently started sailing out of Charleston. Their mission is to build self-esteem and confidence for children affected by cancer while providing them with an unforgettable adventure.

Last night, we had the extraordinary pleasure of meeting Captain Jen and Captain Janet of Sundog Sailing and being welcomed aboard the Shenanigan for a sunset sail. Surrounded by a stormy light show filtered through curtains of dark clouds, we excitedly spotted dolphins, pelicans swooping down for fish, an osprey and her baby, and more egrets, cranes, and other birds than we could count. The kids sq**rt water guns from the bow, sang sea shanties, and played Yahtzee under the deck. Elia tested each of the beds like Goldilocks and fell fast asleep about 15 minutes before we docked.

It has been years since I felt this grounded and at peace. There’s nothing like sailing. I wholeheartedly agree with the kids.

Thank you Courageous Kidz, Valiant Voyages, and the amazing Captain Jen & Captain Janet. We can’t wait to see you again in the fall! ⛵️ 🏴‍☠️ 🧡
