✨ Kathleen Edwards ✨

Kathleen Edwards is a modern-day cornerstone of North American roots music. Since making her debut with 2002's Failer, she's spent the 21st century occupying the grey area between genres, swirling together her own mix of alt-country, folk, and heartland rock & roll. It's a sound that has earned its creator more than a half-dozen Juno nominations, shows with icons like Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson, and Top 40 success on both sides of the Canadian/American border. From co-writes with Maren Morris to critically-acclaimed solo records like Back to Me, Asking for Flowers, Voyageur, and Total Freedom, Edwards has become a leader of the Americana community, even as her ever-evolving music reaches beyond the format's boundaries.

Kathleen Edward's newest release, 'Only Lie Worth Telling', consists of various covers from albums and artists that helped shape her relationship with music and words. 🎶✨

The Upstate New York folk rock group, Driftwood, continues to break new ground with their shapeshifting approach to folk music. Driftwood consists of it founding members, Joe Kollar and Dan Forsyth, (who started making music as high schoolers in Joe's parents' basement), along side violinist Claire Byrne, bassist Joey Arcuri, and drummer Sam Fishman.

Driftwood's most recent album, December Last Call, looks confidently to the future, experimenting with new sounds while staying true to the bluegrass roots that built them.

Driftwood’s live shows are known to not only operate as effervescent, twang-studded musical parties, but also as reunions for their throng of devoted listeners—folks who have started to feel less like fans and more like something bigger!

🎶RWR XII Music Monday🎶
✨ Southern Avenue ✨

The story of Southern Avenue is one of serendipity and destiny, beginning with Israeli guitarist Ori Naftaly’s journey to Memphis in search of authentic blues. There, he encountered the powerhouse vocalist Tierinii Jackson, and together with her sister, drummer Tikyra Jackson, and keyboardist Jeremy Powell, they formed a band that would soon take the music world by storm. In 2021, the ensemble reached its full potential with the addition of Ava Jackson, Tierinii and Tikyra’s sister, a classically trained violinist who had previously contributed her vocals to the band’s recordings.

Southern Avenue’s music is a seamless blend of blues, soul, and gospel, with a sound that is distinctly their own. Their deeply moving harmonies, coupled with the raw power of their performances, create a connection with audiences that transcends mere entertainment.

Check out their second single, "Rum Boogie", from their highly anticipated album 'Family' (their debut album on Alligator Records) coming April 2025. "Rum Boogie" tells the story of their early days as a band, navigating Memphis' exciting club scene.

✨ Nefesh Mountain ✨

The New York-based Progressive Americana group Nefesh Mountain Band has been hailed as one of the formative boundary-pushing ensembles in roots music. The band's creators and dynamic husband and wife team of Eric Lindberg and Doni Zasloff have created a world and sound all their own; blurring the lines between Americana, Bluegrass, Folk, Jazz and Blues with a masterful hand as songwriters, instrumentalists and composers alike.

Their new album ‘Beacons (out now!) continues to affirm themselves as a singular musical force—one whose deeply impassioned songwriting awakens us to new ways of navigating an endlessly troubled world. Beacons encompasses two distinct discs, the first containing eight Americana songs with their electric band and guest musicians like pedal-steel guitarist Greg Leisz (Beck, Joni Mitchell, Willie Nelson). The second disc finds the duo working again with legendary roots musicians Jerry Douglas (on Dobro), Sam Bush (mandolin), and Stuart Duncan (fiddle) and serving up an all-acoustic lineup of songs.

✨Bella White✨
Born and raised in Calgary, Bella White is the daughter of a native Virginia banjoist who instilled in his child a love of Appalachian folk, country, and Bluegrass.

Her 2020 debut album, Just Like Leaving, produced by Patrick M'Gonigle, established her in the Americana scene with its Appalachian-inspired sound. For her second album, Among Other Things (2023), White collaborated with Jonathan Wilson, crafting an enchanting record that Spotify hailed as one of the Best Folk and Americana Albums of the year.

Most recently, White released the Five For Silver EP (2024) covering songs by influential artists like Neil Young, Lucinda Williams, and Emmylou Harris.

✨✨Happy Music Monday🎶

Welcome to the first *Music Monday* for RWR XII! Each Monday, leading up to the festival, we'll be spotlighting some of the incredibly talented musicians who will be joining us this year!

➡ TopHouse

Tophouse was created in 2015 by two Montana music majors, guitarist/songwriter Jesse Davis and violinist William Cook before adding Joseph Larson (lead singer and guitar/banjo player,) and Andy LaFave (piano) in 2017 and 2022 respectively.

After being vaulted to local fame in their birthplace of Missoula, with the Missoulian naming TopHouse one of the top 5 best new bands, the band moved to Nashville, TN in October of 2019. TopHouse quickly set to work attaining a local residency as well as getting music played on Nashville’s premier new-music radio station Lightning 100.

The band is currently releasing new music with their most recent EP 'Theory' and their upcoming EP 'Practice' featuring their latest singles "Waste","Meteor", and "I Don't Want to Move On."
