Almost 20 years ago, the Chamber Foundation launched its first workforce development program; ๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ; preparing Skagit Valley College youth and adult students to join our local and regional workforce. Since 2006, we have served close to 1,000 students from various SVC programs.

In 2019, the Mount Vernon Chamber Foundation launched Latino Business Leaders (LBL). Since then, we have served over 500 Latino entrepreneurs with services that range from monthly workshops to one-on-one consultations. Since its launching, LBL has inspired several programs and initiatives in the Pacific Northwest who now offer business services to the Latino community.

In 2022, the Mount Vernon Chamber Foundation - Latino Business Leaders became the recipient of the Nonprofit of the Year Award by the Seattle Latino Chamber of Commerce

In July 2024, the Foundation launched a new initiative; ๐‹๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐จ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก. The program prepares and supports our future Latino entrepreneurs and encourages regional economic growth.
