More ornament making today in Vermont!

Today, we had a wonderful experience at the Von Trapp Family Lodge in Vermont, a location steeped in rich history and tradition. The Von Trapp family, originally hailing from Austria, gained prominence due to their extraordinary contributions to music and culture, particularly through the beloved story immortalized in "The Sound of Music." After fleeing their homeland during the tumultuous times of World War II, the family established this lodge, creating a sanctuary that reflects their deep commitment to hospitality while honoring their heritage.

Following a fascinating lecture on the family's legacy, which provided us with insight into their journey and the values they upheld, we engaged in a delightful activity: crafting Christmas ornaments.

This morning we attended a lecture about the Von Trapp family. We also met the granddaughter of the real Maria Von Trapp. Then we attended an ornament making class and I attempted Christmas colors ⛄️ and Belinda did a wood burning ornament.

Abbeydell Hall is a dinner theater and event venue on the former home of basketball legend in West Baden, Indiana Bill sure was having a great time!

Our own Terry Smith was lucky enough to be “Dolly” with Matt Gumm.

A Note From Timi

When I started Timi’s Tours in 2006, I dreamed of providing Central Illinois with amazing travel opportunities.

I could never have imagined the tremendous reception we have received! We work diligently every year to provide our travelers with new adventures, while keeping our classic Timi’s Tours destinations in the schedule for new customers to experience for the first time! While there’s so much I love about what I do, I take such joy in someone telling me, for example, that they never thought they’d see see the Statue of Liberty in their lifetime and now one of their dreams has become a reality. We love traveling our beautiful country (and world!) with you!

Be it traveling to a sunny beach in Florida or Hawaii, taking in the amazing entertainment in Branson, observing the natural beauty of the fall season, seeing a fabulous Broadway Show, discovering exciting mystery trips, touring New York City, or exploring the Southern and Western frontiers of America, we always have a great time! I believe that in life, we all could use a little adventure and a good time with friends, and that’s what I hope you will get to experience when you sign up for one of our tours!
