Colline d'Italia imports and distributes exclusively Italian wine, from small producers in various regions of Italy. We import select wines for La BotteGaia Wine Club through Wicked Bella, Burlington, Washington.

Hello everyone,

Colline d’Italia is happy to announce a new travel service.

After 21 years in the tour and import wine business, we are now also offering personal trip planning for your vacation in Italy and Portugal.

We can plan every detail, or just the outline of your time, and within your budget. Flights, accommodations, sights to see, transport, as desired. If you have always wanted to visit Tuscany, for example, we can set up a trip that will cover all the famous sights, or give you a unique experience in the countryside and the famous hill towns of the region - or both.

This is available for groups of one to ten, ages one (bring a parent) and up, and will be completely customized as you would like.

Sicily in September 2025: a new tour in one of our favorite places. Our base will be on the slopes of Mt. Etna.

August 31 - September 7, 2025
Experience unforgettable food, wine, culture, and one big mountain on the fabled island of Sicily.
Highlights of Our Itinerary:

Day 1, Saturday, August 31: Arrival at Catania. You will be met at Fontanarossa Airport, pick-up at 3:00 p.m. Depart for the exceptional Ramo d’Aria Country Hotel Etna https://ramodaria.it, where we will spend the next week

Day 2, Sunday, September 1: A short excursion on Mount Etna. A (sort of, a little bit) closeup of this spectacular volcano to appreciate the incredible majesty of the island-builder, followed by a visit to a winery where you will also appreciate the effects of volcanic soil in agriculture

Day 3, Monday, September 2: A visit to the Roman Villa Casale, at Piazza Armerina, a 1700 year- old marvel fortunately recovered for us to admire. Then, on to the ceramic capital of Sicily, Caltagirone

Day 4, Tuesday,September 3: Siracusa, founded 7 centuries B.C., its archeological park and the island of Ortigia, center of the old city

Day 5, Wednesday, September 4: The winery of Tenuta Bastonaca, where Silvana makes the wines of Vittoria and Mount Etna

Day 6, Thursday, September 5: Taormina! Ancient city with both Greek and Roman remains, center of British academic culture in previous centuries, and just a beautiful place overlooking the sea and the mountain

Day 7, Friday, September 6: A boat tour of the coast, to enjoy and appreciate the ancient history of the region, mythological and actual, along with the pure pleasure of being on the water

Day 8, Saturday, September 7: Departure day, with delivery to Catania’s Fontanarossa Airport, time to be determined after we have discussed your schedules

After some absolutely wonderful experiences in Le Marche and Puglia - such great places, such great tour members - we are looking towards 2024. We'll begin the season with Lake Como and the Valtellina, in May. Note that the dates have changed, the tour will now take place May 11-18.
