Good morning Red Line Family,

There are always new scams going around and people trying to steal your money. If you receive a call from someone saying they are with a cruise line and you owe money for port expenses, dock fees, ect...simply hang up. If you are booked with an agent, your agent is the only one authorized to make a payment on your behalf with the cruise line. The cruise lines will never call you asking for payment. I have read three separate posts this morning alone where people were taken for thousands of dollars because they thought it was a legit phone call. If I can assist you with anything, let me know.

Carnival Cruise Lines has had a 15 drink limit in 24 hours for awhile now. MSC recently adopted that same rule. I would guess Royal Caribbean and Norwegian may follow suit. The big players in the cruise industry usually play copycat when it comes to things like this. What are your thoughts? Are you for it or against it?

Hi Red Line Family. I will be sailing on Wonder of the Seas next week. If you have seen me post about the Next Cruise certificates and have been thinking about getting one, now is your chance. I will list some of the highlights below. The 2026-2027 cruise schedule is open for booking.

Reduced deposit* of $100 per person (normally $250 per person)**

Onboard credit from Royal Caribbean based on the length of the cruise you book and the category of stateroom booked.

You have two months to choose your ship and sail date to retain the onboard credit bonus. The certificate is still good for one year from the date or purchase if you do not select and ship and sail date within two months.

I will be able to service your booking from beginning to end.

*This is a non-refundable deposit
**If you book a suite, you must pay the full $250 per person deposit.

Hello Red Line Family. I will be on the brand new Utopia of the Seas this Friday, Nov 1. If you're interested in a Next Cruise booking certificate, reach out and let's get you set up. You will receive a reduced deposit of $100 per person** (instead of $250 per person) and you will also get onboard credit from Royal Caribbean. The amount will be dependent on the stateroom category you book. You will have 2 months from the purchase date to select your ship and sail date. If you don't select it in that time frame, you will lose the onboard credit. The certificate is still good for one year from the date of purchase.

**If you book a suite, you will be required to pay the full deposit.

Good morning Red Line Family. I am happy to report that we have power and are fully operational again. Our house did not sustain any major damage and we survived off a generator, portable ac and a grill. As of this message, there are still 308,000 people in the Tampa Bay area without power. We are very appreciative for the lineworkers and first responders who are working tirelessly to get everything back to normal. Thank you again!!!

Hello Red Line Family. First, we're hoping everyone is paying attention to the approaching major hurricane. If you're in an evacuation zone, please leave. You will not only put your life in danger, but also the lives of the first responders who have to come rescue you. I have friends and relatives who are firefighters and law enforcement officers in Central Florida. Now is the time for you to act and move to a safer place.

The department I work for and the area that I live in is expected to take a direct hit. We will be without power and wifi for at least a week. Starting tomorrow (Monday) at 8pm, I will not be pricing any new trips or taking any payments. If you have an emergency or something pressing, please message me. Please be patient as I am working today and tomorrow and will have to return to work at noon on Tuesday until who knows when. Be safe everyone.

Hello Red Line Family. First, we hope everyone stays safe from this storm.

I wanted to tell everyone again just how important trip insurance is. I have permission from the client to post about the situation. My client is attempting to return from an Alaskan cruise. They arrived back in Seattle today. They were supposed to fly back to Tampa tomorrow. As it stands, Tampa International Airport will be closing tomorrow at 0200 and Orlando International Airport will most likely be closing as well. I worked with the airline to get them moved around and connecting in different cities to get them home on time. Unfortunately, that just cannot happen with the airport closings.

Luckily, their trip insurance will kick in and will pay for the extra $400 they have to spend on a hotel for two nights, plus their food and ride share from the hotel to the airport. This would have all been an out-of-pocket expense if it weren't for the trip insurance. When you book a trip with Red Line Vacations, I am ALWAYS going to ask you if you want trip insurance. You have a choice on where to get it from. It can be from the cruise line or a third-party company. Trip insurance seems like a waste of money UNTIL you need it. Then you will wish you had it. Personally, I never travel without trip insurance. The third-party companies have single trip plans and multi-trip plans. I'm so thankful we were able to keep the client happy AND make sure they were safe. As always, you can reach out to me with questions.

Great news for all the rail fans out there. Red Line Vacations can now book your ride on the Brightline Train. If you're looking to head to South Florida and you don't want to drive, consider using the Brightline. The following cities have stops: Orlando (at Orlando International Airport, MCO), West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, and Miami. There are two classes of seats: Coach and Premium. When booking Premium, you get a departure lounge to relax in while awaiting your train. On the train, you have access to food and beverage. Eventually this service will run to/from Tampa and have a stop at Port Canaveral. Stay tuned for a Q/A session from a Red Line client who took the train to Miami for a cruise.

Have you heard the big news from Southwest Airlines? They are going away from their open seating policy and moving to assigned seating. They will also begin to offer red eye flights. Both of these changes will start in 2025. Do you prefer open seating or assigned seating on airlines? Will this make you think twice about flying Southwest?
