Join us as we head to the stunning Pritzker Military Museum & Library in Kenosha for an exclusive engagment for a 5 p.m. lecture by US Army Major General Brian Winski.

Major General Winski proudly served in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) for over 12 years. His most recent assignment was the Chief, Legislative Liaison, Office of the Secretary of the Army. His other assignments include service in the 82nd Airborne Division, the 3rd Infantry Division, the 1st Cavalry Division, the Joint Readiness Training Center, and the Army Legislative Liaison office.

He has served in various command and staff positions over multiple combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan throughout his career. He was a Rifle Platoon Leader in B/2-327 Infantry during Desert Shield/Storm, 1-327 Infantry Battalion XO during the invasion of Iraq in 2003, Chief of Operations for the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq in 2004, the 1-61 Cavalry Squadron Commander in Iraq 2005-2006, Division G3 for the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan 2008-2009, and Brigade Combat Team Commander in the 1st Cavalry Division in Iraq 2010-2011.

DAY 11 - Part 2: Lucerne, Switzerland. We enjoyed a private cruise on beautiful Lake Lucerne.
Next, for those who wanted to venture to the top of Mt. Pilatus, we rode aerial cable cars to different levels along the way and and returned to Kriens. We had no way of knowing that as we ascended halfway, it started to sleet and then a heavy snow started to accumulate very quickly. And we still enjoyed the experience immensely. This evening, we gathered together for a lovely farewell dinner. We will never forget the lovely time we experienced together in Austria and Switzerland and must say - Auf Wiedersehen!

DAY 11: Part One - Lucerne, Switzerland
Our day began with an amazing guided walking tour of Lucerne, including the Old Town with its quaint streets and squares, busy
market places and decorated houses, the Jesuit Church and the poignant Lion Monument. We strolled across Chapel Bridge, the town’s iconic covered bridge built in 1333. So picturesque!

DAY TEN: Part 2 - INTERLAKEN and LUCERNE
We drove through some of Switzerland’s most beautiful countryside with its surrounding mountains, dense forests and alpine meadows. Visited the town of Interlaken, a traditional resort town in the mountainous Bernese Oberland region of central Switzerland. Built in a narrow valley, between the emerald-colored waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, it has old timber houses and parkland on either side of the Aare River.
Our ultimate destination, the old-world town of Lucerne located on Lake Lucerne at the foot of Mount Pilatus. For dinner, we enjoyed a traditional Swiss meal complete with cheese fondue followed by a
lively and entertaining Folklore Show. What made this evening more special? Two of our guests celebrating birthdays - Karol and Dorothea. They “did us proud” as they represented U.S.A. while being called onto the stage numerous times to dance and play instruments with the fabulous entertainers. Such fun!!!

DAY TEN: Bern, the capital of Switzerland - scenic, guided walking tour of Bern, a unique, medieval city with many intricately carved fountains, sandstone facades, narrow streets, notable towers, a prominent Gothic cathedral, and a whimsical astronomical clock that dates back to 1530! Not many cities have managed to retain their historic features quite as successfully as Bern, which has been designated a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site.
