My hubby and I went adventuring today!! First, we woke up to Perfect View Hideaway 's perfect view. Next, we fattened ourselves up with the planet's best donuts at Crafted Dough. Then, we went to Brasstown Bald, Georgia's highest point. We hiked the .6mile from the parking lot to the top, which is the equivalent of going up the stairs on a 42 story building it's so steep.

You can see 4 states (GA, NC, TN &SC) from up there with 360°views. TOTALLY worth the hike, but there's also a shuttle for $8.

Then, we were revived by delicious food and Jesus juice at Paris & Co and Crane Creek Vineyards. God is good!

3 Reasons you should visit the Smoky Mountains in fall:
1) The heat drops off in late September to a lovely average high of 74 degrees.
2) Fall fairs and festivals are abundant with apples, pumpkins, crafts, and fun decorations.
3) Fall foliage, of course!!

My hubby and I LOVE Julie's Place and always make a point to stop in when we're in Murphy. THE BEST BISCUITS ON EARTH, homemade apple butter that just melts in your mouth, amazing grits, awesome fried chicken... honestly, everything is delicious. Add in the unbelievably friendly and efficient staff and beautifully homey decor, it's just about perfect

The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad is a must-do when visiting western NC!! It's a beautiful drive to Bryson City from Perfect View Hideaway. We stopped at Crafted Dough in Murphy on the way for some of the best donuts and coffee EVER- highly recommend!!

We bought the "cheap seats" in the open air car on the train, and IMO, they were the best seats. The huge windows had the best views and the breeze running through made it cooler than the enclosed cars.

You just can't beat the incredible views on this ride. The mountains, Fontana Lake, Nantahala River Gorge, and lush forest were all just breathtaking.

Boating on Lake Chatuge is always fabulous! Take a scenic 45 minute drive to Hiawassee, GA from Perfect View Hideaway and enjoy the incredible mountain-rimmed lake views, fishing, and tubing. Top it off at Hiawassee Brew with super yummy food, microbrews, and if you're lucky, some live music.

P.s.... if you're a member of Freedom Boat Club with reciprocal benefits, you can grab a reservation here 4x/year included in your membership. Other folks would need to rent through the marina. 😊

Our cabin is ready for Christmas!! Lots of warm and welcoming decor throughout the house for our holiday renters to have everything they need to enjoy a comfy cozy time with family.

The little things ARE the big things!!

We decided to do our best to add little things that are "over the top" to make our guests' stay at the cabin a really neat experience.

And so, we set up a popcorn station in the entertainment room (complete with air popper, popcorn kernels, and 8 flavored seasoning shakers), a s'mores station for the firepit, and of course, chocolates for the pillows. :-)

Welcome to Perfect View Hideaway, a luxury, chalet-style vacation cabin with hot tub, pool table, and expansive decking overlooking endless views. With a full bedroom and bathroom on all 3 floors, this cabin sleeps 8 comfortably. New owners have installed 5x upgraded Wifi, updated the décor, added a wood firepit, and created a lovely outdoor dining space.

Perfect View Hideaway offers great views with tons of covered and uncovered decks. This cabin has upscale furnishings and charm throughout. Perfect View Hideaway has 2 full living/great rooms, both with gas fireplaces. It's pet friendly, too. Limit 2 dogs not more than 40 lbs.

Wake up to stunning mountain sunrises in the huge master level loft, which has a king-sized bed with an excellent orthopedic mattress, sitting area, full ensuite bathroom with dual sinks, and sweeping views. Watch the magical fog rise up from nearby Lake Hiwassee – the very thing that earned the Great Smoky Mountains their name.

Main floor provides excellent living space with fully equipped cook’s kitchen, living room, dining room, and gas fireplace. There is also a very comfortable queen bedroom and another full bathroom on this floor. Step outside to a wide, open-air deck with plenty of comfortable seating and a cozy gas firepit overlooking the beautiful mountain views. Property sits adjacent to National Forest Service land for privacy. Just a few steps away on the side of the wraparound deck, lies the fantastic outdoor dining area. It has a gas grill, seating for 6-8, and wonderful views of the forest, mountains and wildlife.

The terrace level is where all the fun happens!! Play pool and sit at the well-equipped bar or grab some popcorn and watch a movie. Enjoy yet another gas fireplace indoors, or go outdoors and roast some marshmallows over the open wood fire pit for s’mores. There is another queen bedroom and full bathroom on this floor as well as a queen sleeper sofa. When the kids go to bed after a day of adventure, you can pour yourself a glass of wine and slip into the hot tub on the outdoor deck.

Unlike many mountain-view homes, the road to get to Perfect View Hideaway is easily accessible and well maintained.

Located in Murphy, NC, this mountain getaway is close to hiking, biking, waterfalls, white water rafting, ziplining, horseback riding, boating, and fishing. A short drive into town, and you will find everything from Wal-Mart and Harrah’s Casino to antiques stores and authentic Carolina BBQ. There are quite a few hiking paths around the property and yoga mats to limber up with.

Or, you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the moonlight and mountain air.
