Collection Drive: Murphy Police Department
Donations of non-perishable food and bottled water are being collected to assist those affected by Tropical Storm Helene in western North Carolina. Starting tomorrow (Monday) at 9:00 a.m., you can drop off your contributions at the Murphy Police Department’s new location at 498 Hill Street in Murphy. Non-perishable food items that don’t require a can opener and bottled water are especially needed to help those in the hardest-hit areas. Your support is greatly appreciated during this challenging time."

Gateway to the Smoky Mountains, our cabins can be reserved directly or through Air BNB. Reasonable prices and pet friendly. Free Mini golf on site. We have the hilltop cabin for 5, the loft cabin for 7, the creekside studio cabin for 5, and we have an RV rental for 2 adults. We also have RV sites for rent. Although we are out in the country, we are within an hour of the Cherokee Casino, ocoee rafting, waterfall hikes nearby, Lake Hiwassee with boat rentals, and the train ride in Blue Ridge. This should be really fun and informative.

On 5/21/2024, I closed the Stuart Studio and traveled north to North Carolina. My summer program is called Blue-in-the-Mountains. This year I am hosting several fiberart workshops at the WagonMaster Ranch Resort in Murphy NC. My 1st workshop of the season Is an Intro to Indigo and Shibori on June 11, 2024.

We are open now on Fridays and Saturdays. But call ahead if it's storming. We won't be open if it's raining hard. Noon -4. 828-494-9521 at the ranch or 828-494-7542 to schedule ahead. You can also arrange an apt. for parties of 6 or more gem miners or to pick up a to-go bag on days that we are not open, except for Sunday. Play mini golf for $1 if you get the family gem package. We offer gold panning with paydirt from a real gold mine.
