One of our top questions: "When is the best time to see dolphins?"
Generally speaking, the morning tours are best. This is especially true right now, as afternoon storms can make viewings a bit choppy.

The other thing to remember is that there are no guarantees when it comes to seeing dolphins (or any marine life). We are on their turf and go to spots we know them to travel over our many years here in Murrells Inlet. Even if we don't see dolphins, we always entertain, educate, and create an unforgettable experience!

Yes, it's true – we do NOT allow bananas on board our boats. But why, you ask? Let’s dive into the superstition and science behind this quirky rule!

🍀 The Superstition: 🐈‍⬛
Back in the 1700s, trade ships carrying bananas often met their demise. When ships wrecked, all that was found floating in the water were bananas. (Yes, it’s true! Bananas really do float!) This led to the belief that bananas brought bad luck and misfortune. Sailors became so superstitious that they banned bananas from their vessels altogether.

🧪 The Science: 🧬
There’s also a more practical reason behind the no-banana rule that many tend to overlook. Bananas release ethylene gas, which speeds up the ripening process of other fruits. Some believe that this gas acts as a natural fish repellent, making it harder to catch fish.
