Just saw this on a restoration page ...using wedding dresses to upholster chairs ,backs of chairs only , it wouldn't be suitable for the seat part
What a great idea ...maybe one day someone will ask me to do that 🤗

That's the most changes I've done to a piece in a long time ,eliminated all tuffting, added 3 loose back cushions ,eliminated skirts added a band to the front ,put new legs...I also had to make some changes to the back frame which required me using a saw-all and Skill saw 😄...I forgot to mentioned the sofa measures 100" long 😲
