Sneak Peek of The Primary Bedroom in the Hume House
✨ Take a Holiday Tour of the Hackley and Hume Historic Site and See Our Decorated Room! ✨
Each year, local organizations bring holiday magic to these historic homes. This year, Visit Muskegon added a touch of holiday cheer to the Primary Bedroom of the Hume House. We couldn’t resist bringing our private collection of vintage ornaments and décor to create a nostalgic feel. We hope Mrs. Hume would have loved it as much as we do!
🌟 Keep an eye out for nods to Muskegon's history, like a framed photo of downtown Muskegon during the holidays and a vintage Hardy Herpolsheimer's gift box.
The Hackley and Hume Historic Site is a year-round gem, featuring two stunning Victorian homes built in the 1800s by lumber barons Charles Hackley and Thomas Hume. Already breathtaking, the homes are especially magical when dressed in their holiday best. This year, for the first time ever, the Hume attic is open for the holiday tour—and it’s a magical addition you won’t want to miss!
🌟 Explore the decorated rooms, vote for your favorite (we hope it’s ours!), and visit the gift shop in the City Barn for unique holiday finds!
