*Long trip report post of our Disney Cruise* 🚢

Day 4-7 was spent on the Disney Wish. This was Rob’s first cruise so we wanted to just do a short one to make sure he liked it.
The Wish is an absolutely beautiful ship & we did feel that we didn’t get a chance to really enjoy all the amenities it had to offer doing such a short voyage.
Our first dinner on board was at 1923, named after the year Walt Disney Studios was founded. We were taken to our table where we met 2 other lovely couples that dined with us for the duration of our cruise. Be aware that even if you request private dining, it is not always possible or available. Be open to meeting new people… we made 4 new friends on our cruise and enjoyed their company so much!
The food at 1923 was very, very good & the ambiance was great! The restaurant featured story boards, art sketches & props that showed how early animation began. I would have loved to have spent more time looking around at the restaurant.
After dinner, we went to our first show, Disney Seas The Adventure. The shows were all very good, broadway style shows. If you like popcorn during your shows, be sure to pick up a refillable popcorn bucket for your time onboard! (Refills are super inexpensive around $2.25)
The next morning we woke up early to hit the gym onboard where Rob tried out a stretching class and I hopped on a treadmill. We decided to stay on the ship instead of getting off in Nassau, Bahamas.
We had a great breakfast, then changed into our swim suits and headed up to find lounge chairs in the adult area of the ship.
One huge difference I felt when comparing the Wish to the Disney Magic & Disney Dream cruise ships was the adult areas. The Wish was definitely lacking in quiet adult areas in comparison to the other ships. We never, even in the adult areas felt totally separated from the family areas. The one truly quiet adult area was small and overly crowded so we walked to the side where we found 2 lounge chairs. We quickly found that the side area was vacant because of all the noise from the AquaMouse which was adjacent to it and only separated by a partition.
The AquaMouse is a tubular water attraction at sea where you climb into a float that you ride around the ship. It was cute & fun, but we had to wait an hour to ride, and it was NOT worth that wait. I would not wait longer than 15 minutes for this in the future.
Also worth noting, don’t get sucked into any sales pitches that happen with some of the services onboard. We learned the hard way after getting a foot/step analysis and an Inbody scan where they can measure your fat/muscle/bone ratios…. Both were long sales pitches 👎🏼
Before dinner, we went back to our room to shower and change and saw pirate bandanas left for us for pirate night. Pirate night includes a party on the deck and fireworks at sea!
Dinner this night was at The Worlds of Marvel restaurant. This was a fun, interactive, super hero restaurant. Again, our food was amazing! The show that evening was The Little Mermaid 🧜‍♀️ and was very good!
The next day was a day spent on Disney’s private island Castaway Cay, by far our favorite day! We rented bicycles and got to explore the island. After biking, we went to the adult only beach. The water on this island was the most beautiful water I have ever seen, it was so clear you could see your feet. A huge stingray swam right beside Rob 🫣
While on Castaway Cay, we ate a huge barbecue lunch which included ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks and all the fixings! After lunch it was time for our rum tasting class. This was a fun class where we made rum cocktails, tasted and learned about several different types of rums.
Once we finished our class, Rob set off to snorkel, while I grabbed a float to relax for the last hour of our time on the island. We both agreed that we would have loved another full day at Castaway Cay!
Back on the ship, it was time for dinner which was at Arendelle. Our last dinner onboard did not disappoint! The food was fantastic and we got to see the characters from Frozen. The show that evening was Aladdin, and was very good although we didn’t stay for the whole thing.
Overall, we loved the cruise but agreed that next time we would take a longer cruise to really get to enjoy the ship more.

Day 3 of our trip started at Animal Kingdom. Once we entered the park, we spotted DiVine and I was able to capture a few great photos. We rode our favorite ride, Expedition Everest twice, then it was on to the Safari and seeing the animals!
It was so hot in the parks that day we decided to find some AC to escape the heat. We ended up having a wonderful lunch at Nomad’s Lounge.
After lunch it was time to head over to Hollywood Studios where we managed to only ride the Tower of Terror before calling it a day and heading back to our hotel for swimming.
Our last meal for the day was at Storybook Dining at Artist Point which was right inside our hotel. This restaurant features The Evil Queen, D***y, Grumpy & Snow White and some of the best food in parks!

Day 2 started with a fantastic 5 hour walking tour of Magic Kingdom called Keys to the Kingdom. For this particular tour, you must be 16 or older so none of the magic is ruined. You get special access to restricted areas such as the “utilidore” (a tunnel system that runs underneath the Magic Kingdom, allowing cast members to get around to their particular areas of work in that park)
During this tour, we also got to ride The Jungle Cruise & The Haunted Mansion and lunch was also included! If you ever get the chance to take this tour, we both highly recommend it! You learn so much about the history and Walt & Roy! I loved it and the tour was definitely a highlight of this trip.
After the tour we stayed in Magic Kingdom and were able to ride everything we wanted including Tron twice! We definitely picked a great time to visit with low crowd levels.
The heat was quite brutal with the heat index over 100 that day. The cooling towels we brought were a life saver! We also indulged in a frozen treat at Storybook Treats where we both had the Aurora ice cream cone. I was a little disappointed with this treat location. The ice cream was delicious, but the workers were not wearing gloves and the cones didn’t have paper on them. Disney is usually on top of cleanliness and food handling procedures, but I was disappointed in this location. For that reason, I ate the ice cream but ended up throwing the cone itself away.
After a few more rides, we decided to call it a day and head back to our resort for some relaxation and dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe.
Whispering Canyon Cafe is an all you care to enjoy restaurant featuring all different types of barbecue & yummy sides & fixins 🤩
Overall, we liked the restaurant and felt that it was an ok value for the food we received. They do even let you take to go boxes which we did since we were headed straight up to our room.

Day 1 of our Anniversary trip started in Epcot. We were able to enjoy the Flower & Garden festival before it ends towards the end of May. I have decided Flower & Garden is my favorite festival, the beautiful topiaries, all the colorful flowers & butterflies just make my heart happy. 🌸🌺🌷🦋
We had so much fun riding all of our favorite rides and exploring some of the countries more since the park was much less crowded than it has been the last few times we have gone.
We also got to check out the Annual Passholder Lounge located in Morocco, where we enjoyed complimentary snacks, drinks and even a picture with Genie 🧞‍♂️ from Aladdin.
For all the history buffs, I highly suggest watching The American Adventure in the American pavilion. We enjoyed it so much and it was a nice reprieve from the heat.
Dinner reservations were made for Le Cellier originally for 8:50 pm, but after watching the app all day, I was able to modify our reservation to 6:30 pm due to someone canceling.
For dinner I enjoyed the filet mignon, while Rob had the ribeye and for an appetizer we tried the roasted bone marrow which was quite tasty. Both of us would highly recommend Le Cellier as our meals were delicious (although a bit pricey).
After dinner, it was time to check in to our resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This was our first time staying at this particular resort and it did not disappoint!
Here’s how Disney describes this resort “ Inspired by turn-of-the-century National Park lodges, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge celebrates American craftsmanship and honors the beauty of the untamed wilderness. Soak in the splendor of the great outdoors, from nature trails through pine forests to rocking chairs that overlook a murmuring creek. Inside, discover towering totem poles, headdresses and more, and enjoy the rustic elegance of the stone hearth and roaring fireplace.”
This resort is only a short boat ride to Magic Kingdom which also adds convenience.
We stayed in a room that sleeps 5 people with a queen size bed, a pull down murphy style bed and a single pull down bed.

Did you know that Disney World offers a Spanish Mosaic Art Class? I had the opportunity to participate in it during my recent trip and found it to be truly enjoyable!
Our particular class was held in the Dahlia Lounge inside Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.
The cost for the class is $25 plus tax per person and is recommended for guests ages 12 & up.
You will recieve all the supplies needed for your mosiac in the cost.
This is a 2 hour class and a great way to escape the Florida heat!

What a fantastic and fun- filled 2 days we have had so far! Monday was spent at Epcot. We got there early for breakfast at 8:40 at Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion. The Garden Grill is a character meal which is so much fun for families with children or adults! The food is served family style, so they bring the food to your table and is all you care to enjoy. This restaurant is also unique because it slowly rotates during your meal so the view is different throughout your meal.
Throughout the day, we visited many of the attractions in the park including Soarin’ over California, Living with the Land, Journey into the Imagination with Figment, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, our very favorite Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind which we got to ride 3 times!!
At 7 pm we got to experience the Candlelight Processional, with a fantastic choir and orchestra and was the narrated by Marley Matlin. It was beautiful and made me remember the true spirit and meaning behind Christmas.
We didn’t get to explore the countries as much as I had hoped, but we did hit a few food booths before watching the new night time show Luminous the Symphony of Us. I thought the new show was fantastic and the fireworks and lights were amazing. It was a full and very tiring day, (left our room at 7:30 am and didn’t get back to our room until a little after 1 am that night 😴😴) but it was completely worth it!
I made some great memories with some great people. ❤️
