STAR Academy has grown!
We recently celebrated the grand opening of their second location in the Forestbrook area.
Located at 151 Prather Park Dr. in Myrtle Beach, the second location is larger than the original in North Myrtle Beach featuring a three-story indoor, sensory-friendly play space. There are also several quiet nooks for recuperating as well as an teen hangout space and classroom areas.
The original location at 647 Main Street in North Myrtle Beach continues to host classes and open play as well.
In addition to free play time, STAR Academy hosts several enrichment classes for kids to help them learn and grow through play.
Popeyes is now open on U.S. 501 in Myrtle Beach!
We had a wonderful time celebrating the grand opening with the staff before the holiday.
Right now they're open daily until 9 p.m., but they told us to look for later hours as summer approaches. Visit them at 2123 US Highway 501.
The restaurant was brought to us by Impeccable Development, a Florida-based commercial real estate development company. They told us about other upcoming projects in the Myrtle Beach area. Watch to find out what else is coming to The Beach.

TOMORROW is the launch party for Puppy Poo Pickup's new Underdog Calendar featuring longer-to-adopt dogs from three area rescues at locations across the Grand Strand!
We got to talk to Hillary and Kevin Friend about the inspiration behind the calendar ahead of their ribbon-cutting ceremony happening Nov. 14 at 4:30 p.m. All proceeds from each calendar will be distributed to three animal rescues: Grand Strand Humane Society, Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach and All4Paws.
The ribbon cutting will lead right into a Business After Hours held in conjunction with Pet Wants South at the Holiday Inn in Surfside Beach.

Congratulations to ABODE Carolina Forest for their ribbon-cutting ceremony! This beautiful community near the Tanger Outlets on Hwy. 501 leases 2- and 3-bedroom townhomes as well as four-bedroom single family homes.
We enjoyed spending time by their pool at the amenity center, where they also have a fitness center and fire pit for their residents as well as a community garden area.

Black Dog Running Company - Myrtle Beach has new owners! Kelly Burton and Diane Whitman have worked at the store for years and recently became co-owners of the store on Farrow Parkway near The Market Common.
Black Dog Running Company sells everything you need for your running and walking journeys. Brands carried at the store include Brooks, Altra, On Cloud, Hoka, Asics, New Balance, Mizuno and others. In addition to shoes, you'll find apparel and accessories.

Congratulations to G3 Engineering & Surveying for their ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of their office in Myrtle Beach.
The corporate headquarters are in Pawley Island and the company also has an office in Greenville. G3 provides surveying, civil engineering, site planning and similar services. They serve the Carolinas as well as Tennessee and Georgia bringing several years of industry knowledge, expertise and resources to each project.

Meet Amelia Rose Earhart! She's the keynote speaker of our 2024 Ignite Women's Conference presented by Tidelands Health.
In 2014, she followed in the steps of her namesake - Amelia Mary Earhart - and made history as the youngest woman to pilot single-engine Pilatus PC-12NG aircraft worldwide. She was 31 at the time, when she traveled 28,000 nautical miles over 18 days.
On Oct. 4, she'll join us in Myrtle Beach to share her story and lessons she learned to help you take on the "pilot in command" mentality in your own lives.
