Beginning Thursday, Beach Break Y6 has the BEST new owners! They are fellow North Carolinians, like us, and only live about an hour from us here at home! Justin and Brittany have three kids and love Ocean Lakes as much as we all do! They are keeping everything the same, and are just the kindest, most down to earth people you could ever meet. This is a great change, for us - so we can focus on our farm and home here in NC, for them - so they can fulfill this dream of theirs, and for our amazing guests - you’ve got the best owners you could ask for! Family is the reason we are here. And family values are as important to our founding family and team as they were when we opened our gates in 1971. We understand that the world has changed. The definition of family has changed, American culture is different, and the behavior and respect for others have declined.
We love and appreciate our guests and we want everyone to have fun (safely and responsibly). Like many businesses and resorts, our team is struggling with bad customer behavior, especially during the summer season, spring break weeks, and senior graduation weeks. We know the bad behavior impacts the good families and guests that consider Ocean Lakes their “Home Away From Home,” and it also impacts the morale of our team.
We are running a campground, folks. Our team should not need to be disciplinarians, that’s the parents’ responsibility. Our commitment to providing a safe, fun place for families remains stronger than ever. So, we are taking a stand. We are going old school: we’re implementing curfews beginning Friday, May 24, 2024.
🚨From Beach Break Y6: Use of our golf cart between the hours of 12am and 5am during these times will result in loss of deposit and immediate eviction from our home. We follow rules. You have to follow the rules as well.
