Last Day

Season 5:Oceanfront will be coming to a close on Saturday October 28. We thank you ALL for a glorious 2023. We hope you continue to grow with us and look forward to Season 6 come the Spring. Please join us this offseason as we help raise money for some great charity organizations, starting with the defense of our Two-Time-Back-To-Back-Undefeated-Undisputed-Taco-Champion Status. November we will be supporting the cause for Caleb’s Dragonfly Dreams at the 10th Anniversary Mythical and Medieval Festival, which is two weekends this year! We Love You! Flavor Up❤️

Chef just made his first batch of Naked Chicken Salad since the XGym (Season One)! You better come try it before he eats it all! House seasoned and griddled chicken breast w, celery, carrots, onions, apples, raisins, sunflower seeds, and herbs. Served chilled.

***Although not 100%, Chef J-Mike has been cleared to return to work! All of the made-from-scratch prep begins tomorrow morning for a THURSDAY morning service return. These are the last few weeks of our season, and we hope you will join us. Thank you for all your love, we know it helped him Heal. ❤️***

Unfortunately Chef J-Mike is under the weather and we will be closed until he gets better.(hopefully by Monday) In the meantime, check out these 1/4 lb Taco Dogs topped with that Mac-n-Cheezus.

Out of an abundance of caution, we will be closing early today (Tuesday 8/29) to allow our staff the time necessary to properly prepare for any event with the storm. We are also going to preemptively take Thursday off because we care more about our staff than your money. We hope everyone remains safe and plan on seeing you Friday morning. Our Story...

March 22, 2015. That day would forever change the face of Tacos! Just a week prior, long-time friend of J-Mike’s, Phil Jackson (aka DJQP, aka Krispy Kreme Killah), now Head of the Surf Dreams Fundation, called to invite J-Mike to enter the ASF Taco Cook-off in Murrell’s Inlet, SC. More well known for his J-Mike’s Jerky, which would make it into Piggly Wiggly on the old AFB before it closed....., J-Mike was hesitant for he had no restaurant of his own to represent. Well, Mr. Jackson would not take no for an answer and told J-Mike, “ Man up and make a Taco, you know....for the kids!” And that’s just what J-Mike did! He took his famous marinated beef and cooked it down in some veggies and slapped it on a “Double Down” chassis (inspired from that one taco place), added Real Cheddar Cheese, healthy Green Leaf Lettuce, fresh Pico de Gallo and our Signature “J-Sauce” Southwest Ranch!

Fast forward to Thanksgiving of 2017. The Owner of the X-Gym Sports Mall, Mr. Robby Love (check out ‘Robby Love Skatin’ 66 on Youtube) called J-Mike, after he heard about how good the tacos were from some of his Members, and invited him and his tacos to make a home in the former “Smoothielicious” Cafe. J-Mike was hesitant, for he had made a pledge for 2018, to only work his job at Gutter Helmet and finish building his food truck, the J-Mike’s Flavor Ship. Well, Mr. Love would NOT take no for an answer! Mr. Love said, “Man up!”, that he “truly believed that J-Mike and his Trophies would be a perfect fit for his Sports Mall”! And that’s just what J-Mike did!

On March 22, 2018, the 3rd Anniversary of the 1st Taco Trophy, and subsequent 2nd Anniversary of the 2nd Taco Trophy, J-Mike sold his first taco, in his first restaurant! (This ‘coincidence’ still gets J-Mike all verklempt!)
