The pressure canning 101 class this weekend is completely full and we are unable to take any walkins or get any of the people from the waitlist in. There will be another pressure canning class in August when we can tuna. The cheese making class is also full with a full waitlist as well. We will be looking to add more classes as we have the time and resources available. Thank you for your interest and understanding!

It may be wet and rainy outside but these attendees are dry and toasty learning all about dehydration and freeze drying with our knowledgeable Master Food Preserver volunteers. 2024 schedule of classes will be out next week, mark your calendar to join us for a fun workshop or two (or all of them)!

The Coos County Master Food Preserver program was lucky to have the Coos County Fair 2023 grand marshals Ed and Mary Anne Kreutzer stop by the booth. Fun fact, Mary Anne has been a MFP volunteer since 2010! Swing by our booth today and ask preservation questions, enter to win a dehydrator and dehydration goody basket worth $150, or stock up on food preservation supplies. Here from 10-7!

Save the date for the 18th annual Tomato-Rama plant sale on May 6, 2023! This one day sale will be held at the OSU Extension Office in Myrtle Point again this year.

We had a blast learning about canning and preserving meats a couple weekends ago! Our fermentation workshop scheduled for March 18th is already full but you can still get on the waitlist if you are interested. If we have cancellations, we will pull from the waitlist first to fill the class.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to cancel our Cheesemaking/Butter workshop that was scheduled for January 21st. We are hoping to reschedule it at a later date and will post that when the date is determined. Thank you for your understanding.

The wait is over!!!! Check out our 2023 Master Food Preserver workshop schedule. We will have some new classes this year along side our ones that we just have to do each year like Tuna canning. Save the dates on your calendar and preregistration is always a good idea so you don't miss out!
