Our favorite place to stop on our way to the OBX is the welcome center in Columbia, NC! During business hours there’s a gift shop and nature center to explore, but our favorite part is the chance to stretch our legs on the boardwalk along the Scuppernong River! Even before we arrive in the Outer Banks, there’s beauty to enjoy on the “Inner Banks”.
