We caught a glimpse of starlink traveling through the sky directly above the cottage the other night! That was pretty cool. It was hard to take a quality nighttime picture with a phone camera, plus it was moving at a pretty good clip. You never know what you're going to see in the OBX skies.

It's been an angry ocean lately, and you never know what treasures you'll find on the beach!!! Check out this sailboat that washed ashore this morning in Nags Head around milepost 14. Port of origin is Fort Pierce, Florida which is on the Atlantic coast. Quite a journey!! No souls aboard thankfully! Photo credit goes to our friend

We opened our calendar late this year.... (Life got in the way) We have Spring and Summer weeks available.
Three bedroom, two bath, plus outside shower, two story beach cottage. Nags Head, between the highways. 3 minute walk to the beach.

May, check in any day, two night minimum. May dates open May 1- May 21

June and August. Full week rentals only, Sat to Sat.

Please be considerate when visiting our area. Fill all the holes you dig before leaving the beach. Thank you.

We're sorry to see this starting up again already.

This hole had been partially filled in by the time our guy could get a photo, but he said it could have easily eaten an ocean rescue truck. Not only was the hole deep, it was also in the drive aisle on the beach, exactly where our first responders, and, until April 30, vehicles with a permit, drive.

This is not only extremely dangerous to those who dug the hole, but it is also a hazard for other beachgoers, emergency responders, and wildlife.

If you, or your friends, or your family, feel the absolute need to dig a hole on our beach, whatever you do, keep it shallow and FILL IT IN when you're done.
