*** UPGRADE Alert***
2023 Season

Well, this is the biggest ($$$) upgrade we've ever done, but not the most exciting for our guests. There are a few new features at NHH to add to your holiday enjoyment and we continue to reinvest in the house to ensure we meet and exceed expectations every year.

We replaced ALL the decking at Nags Head Haven this off-season. Anyone who's stayed with us can appreciate the magnitude of this task.

In addition to the new decking, we've added two new outdoor seating areas built into the decks and replaced the hot tub with a brand new model.

I hope NHH continues to bring you and your families as much joy as it does to us.

For all of our wonderful and concerned guests (family) worried about NHH's weathering of storm Ian, this was the extent of our damage. Plus, of course, lake NHH that forms by our sign in all heavy rains.

***2022 Upgrade Alert***
This is a sneak peak of our largest upgrade to NHH to date. Some sort of before/after video is in the works and will be sent to our past and upcoming guests.

Five bathrooms were completed gutted, and we now have three showers with beautiful glass doors and one with a modern tub and glass doors. Modern vanities, as well as lit mirrors with defogging, complete the bathrooms. Every piece of carpet and tile was removed and we’ve installed a combination of new carpet in bedrooms and stairs plus vinyl planking in living areas. We’ve also added a new recliner and a new quiet mini-split A/C-Heat for first floor king bedroom. Those are the highlights. There are other upgrades, but you will have to visit to see for yourself.

NHH 2022 RENOVATIONS UNVEILING

With only 4-days until our first guests, we’re excited and stressed about what we’ve done to make NHH even better for our family-guests. While my dear friend, neighbor, and General Contractor continues to say, “Life isn’t perfect Seth,” he works late into the night with us to make NHH as perfect as possible. Don’t let this sneak-peak picture from yesterday scare you as much as it did me. We are NOT installing an outhouse in the backyard! But we will post pics or a short video soon of the $60,000+ transformation/renovation completed this off-season. Keep your fingers crossed and send good thoughts our way that we finish right on time. 😬

The NHH pool is open for the season.
First in-season guests arrive today.
Wishing all of my cherished renters/friends a wonderful summer.

Upgrades at NHH in the 2020/21 off-season:

-Sink and granite counter in the Pool Cabana
-New composite pool loungers/chairs
-New queen and twin beds in the Beach Room
-New pyramid bunk beds in the kids room
-New comfy mattresses in kids room
-Refresh/cleaning of all decks
-Carpets cleaned throughout house
-New beach chairs

Can’t wait to share NHH with our guests, and already planning the next round of upgrades.
