Made in Nampa
No matter who you are, you’ve probably bought something that was made in Nampa. Here are five fun – and functional – products made here:
• Cordova Outdoors: Hard coolers, soft coolers, bags and drinkware are produced at Cordova Outdoors to better equip campers, hikers, hunters and anglers during their adventures.
• Double R Trailers: Nampa has served as headquarters to Double R Trailers since 2002. Today, the company continues to produce custom-built cargo and recreational trailers for hauling items such as automobiles, snowmobiles, horses, livestock, motorcycles and concession stands.
• Fleetwood Homes: Since 1950, Fleetwood Homes has built travel trailers and now builds custom-made residential manufactured homes. Fleetwood uses name-brand materials and appliances, partnering with companies such as Whirlpool, Georgia-Pacific, Weyerhaeuser, Moen, Congoleum, Rheem and Shaw.
• Sorrento Lactalis: Part of the largest dairy products group in the world, Sorrento Lactalis is a France-based company whose Nampa manufacturing plant produces items like milk, cream and whey. The Nampa site also makes a variety of cheeses, including several American and Italian-style brands.
• Amalgamated Sugar: For more than a century, Amalgamated Sugar has produced real sugar from farm to factory and then to customers at family tables. Today, their factories in Nampa, Twin Falls and Paul produce more than 2 billion pounds of sugar each year.
• Other Companies: Other top world-class companies that are doing business in Nampa include Great American Snacks, Heartland RV, Materne GoGo Squeez, Mission Aviation Fellowship, onsemi, Plexus Corporation, Union Pacific and Woodgrain Millwork.
