The Napa Valley is OPEN!
What a crazy year. I feel incredibly blessed and lucky to have come out on the other side of this crazy pandemic with mine and my loved one’s health still intact. Covid affected everyone in untold ways, and while taking a forced break from wine touring, I was able to make the most of it with good friends and family.
Megan and I were lucky enough to shelter in place with my amazing parents at our family cabin last March. Keeping busy, and staying healthy was an important goal for us, so we couldn’t stay put while “staying put”. Constant exercise and exploration led us to see the local mountains I grew up with from a whole new perspective. We feel incredibly lucky that we got to spend this time in the Sierra.
Backcountry skiing, biking, hiking across the Sierra and climbing Mt. Whitney, then biking until it snowed again, we are truly grateful to have spent so much time outdoors, together and with family.
Obviously shutting down the business for a year was not ideal. But I’m incredibly thankful for the support I’ve seen with my peers in the Napa Valley, and excited that we have mostly moved back to business as usual in wine country. The valley is still almost entirely BY APPOINTMENT, which has proven challenging for last minute visitors. Thankfully, everyone has been doing an amazing job of ramping up for this busy summer we are all expecting.
Dates are booking months out this year, and I can’t thank my past clients and industry peers enough for their support. If you’re thinking of coming out, please plan ahead and get dates dialed in ASAP, so you can enjoy your trip without any issues.
I hope everyone has been able to get on the other side of this pandemic healthy and sane, and can’t wait to see you again in the valley soon!
