Thanks to the help of Joao at Petrabax, our Camino Frances went smooth with only 1 day in the rain. My group of 22 was rewarded with the grand arrival in sunny Santiago de Compostela and a stay at the Parador. At the pilgrim’mass, we got to see the famous botafumeiro of Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, an enormous incense burner swaying across the length of the naves of the church.

I have a travel opportunity that requires a quick decision…
A single room has become available on our safari to Tanzania in January 2023. I can hold it only until 31 August 2022.
Our dates are 18th January - 04 February 2023.
This includes 12 nights on Safari and 2 nights in Amsterdam on the way to Tanzania.
We will be staying in lodges and tented camps with spectacular views and oftentimes animals passing through the camps!

My second travel opportunity is visiting Ireland for 12 days in late May 2022. I have one room left and again, I have one week to confirm one or two travellers before that room is removed from my allocation. Our dates are 20-31 May 2022, starting and ending in Dublin. This is the first of two very time sensitive travel opportunities ... do you want to see these amazing animals in their own environment? Do you have time from 15-31 January 2022? Can you make that decision within a week??? I am leading a group to Tanzania but sadly two travellers had to cancel and I have only one week before their accommodations are removed from my allocation . Ireland, anyone? 🍀

When I advertised this trip a few months ago, the price was higher for a shorter stay …
By moving from June (high season) to May (shoulder season) the programme is 12 days/11 nights for $4875 per person sharing, and May is a lovely time to visit Ireland.

This includes two nights at the recently renovated 5 star Ashford Castle.

In order to guarantee this departure I must confirm at least one more traveller by 26 July 2021 or the trip will have to be cancelled.
If you want to add this to your schedule for next May…

It has been a long year and we are certainly not yet out of the woods, but vaccine roll-out continues day by day.

While we will need to follow masking and distancing protocols for the foreseeable future, it is wonderful to have something positive to say:

In January 2022 we are again heading for East Africa - the land of Swahili, the Maasai and Mount Kilimanjaro.

We have reached our minimum number so this departure is a go…there are a couple of places still available, so if you are ready for a safari or know someone who is, let me know asap ...
