Our typical guest isn't necessarily a wine expert but is keen to learn a bit more about wine with a few other like-minded wine

adventurers. And you'll learn interesting tidbits about our local culture and winemaking along the way. Our tours are:

Small group join-in tours also include a tasty picnic lunch at a picturesque winery ($119-139). Tasting Fees are additional, but often refunded with wine purchase. Come see why we've earned more five-star ratings than any wine tour company in the U.S.

Our Story

Platypus Wine Tours is a locally owned wine tour company in Napa and Sonoma offering memorable experiences for guests from all over the world. Whether you’re a “Cork Dork” or a Wine 101 novice, if you are seeking a wine country tour in Napa, Sonoma or Russian River, Platypus Tours is for you!

Our tours are: o Fun, yet educational, o Intimate, yet social, o Focused on family run wineries, while producing world re-known wines o Driver guided yet story tellers & memory makers o Based on four wineries visits, yet create an experience you’ll be talking about forever!

Our creative, wonderful Platypus drivers are in charge of putting together a tour geared towards boutique, “off the beaten path wineries” that each offers a unique experience along with wine-tasting in some amazing settings!

Our day also includes a picnic lunch at one of the wineries. Cost is $110.00 per person. Private tours are also available for a custom experience.
