Updated Travel Entry rules to Dubai

Emirates is pleased to advise that with immediate effect the below travel protocols for entering Dubai have been revised and implemented.
Holders of all types of visas, those being: employment visas, newly issued residence visa, short stay/long stay visa, visit visa, visa on arrival (except holders of residence visa traveling from below mentioned countries), do not require pre-approval (GDRFA or ICA) when entering UAE.

Dubai residence visa holders travelling to Dubai
All UAE residents can now travel to Dubai without GDRFA or ICA approval except when travelling from the following countries:
Bangladesh
India
Nigeria
Pakistan
Sri Lanka
South Africa
Uganda
Vietnam
Zambia
Indonesia
Requirements for passengers from these countries:
UAE Residence Visa holders must have GDRFA or ICA approval to enter the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This does not apply to passengers who have other visas, such as newly issued residence or employment visas, short stay or long stay visa, visit visa or visa on arrival.
Passengers arriving from the countries above must present a negative COVID 19 PCR test certificate with a QR code issued within 48 hours of the time the sample was collected at an approved health facility.
Passengers must also present a Rapid PCR test report with a QR code for a test conducted at the departure airport within six hours of departure.
Passengers travelling from other countries must have a negative COVID 19 RT PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure.
Passengers travelling to Dubai as their final destination from Bangladesh, Nigeria, Vietnam, Zambia and Indonesia will not be accepted for travel without completing the COVID 19 testing requirements.

Transit Passengers
All transit passengers must complete all the requirements of their final destination.
All passengers travelling from the above countries are required to present a COVID 19 PCR test certificate valid 72 hours and any requirement as mandated by their final destination.
