What makes our tour unique is that we are able to safely view the manatees up close (like really close!) without harming them! We use electric trolling motors that are small and unable to do any harm. The manatees actually enjoy scratching their backs on them! Here’s a shot from today’s tour, a friendly guy ☺️

HAPPY NEWS ALERT!! ‼️

Back in March, Manatee Sightseeing and Wildlife Adventures had a small part in helping save an injured manatee. The FWC rescued it and transported it to Zoo Tampa where they nursed it back to health.

TOMORROW at 11 am the FWC will be releasing it back into the wild at Port of the Island’s Marina where its home is! ☺️

All are welcome to come observe this amazing moment. We are so happy this manatee was able to get healthy and can return home! It’s going to be a once in a lifetime moment to see.

*if you plan on coming, the free parking is across the street from the fire station/ship store at Port of Island’s Marina

We’ve already found 4 manatees today! We have a 97% success rate for seeing manatees year round. Unlike anywhere else around here, there’s one way in and one way out down the Faka Union Canal and the manatees take haven in the Port of the Island’s for fresh water, food and heat.
