Why We Created Bride Block
Bride Block is made up of hospitality industry professionals. Over the years, while in the hotel industry, we found that Brides and Grooms were often not knowledgeable of the group booking process. Most knew that they need to reserve rooms for their out of town guests, however they didn’t know how to do that. Still today, couples will blindly call multiple hotels and the process has to be explained by each hotel, taking the time and patience of the couple and the hotel. For over 10 rooms, a rooms only contract or agreement must be completed. This process is stressful and often a frustrating process for both the couple and the hotelier.
We realized that there was a need to have an intermediary assist in the process. Most of the large companies focus on larger conferences and multiple segments. However, none were focused exclusively to help the engaged couple. Thus, Bride Block was formed. Our agents are experienced and know how to guide the couple through this process. We have the back-end tools to search multiple hotels at once, and supply an availability grid to easily showcase the hotels. Finally, we walk them through the contracting process and negotiate favorable terms and conditions. The best part is that the service is free as the hotels choose to pay Bride Block an industry standard commission.
