Why travel with binoculars?
In addition to the thrill of seeing things with the naked eye, with binoculars, you can also see things “more up-close” and “more clearly,” adding a whole new dimension to your enjoyment of travel and the outdoors. If outdoor nature watching is what you're after, Nikon recommends magnification of 8x to 10x.
There are so many different kinds of binoculars: compact, night vision, smart phone adapted, etc. They have smart phone adaptable binoculars that you can view through your phone and take photos or what is seen.
I can't tell you how many vacations I have forgotten my binoculars and wished I had them. On a boat transfer to see sea life, on an excursions or a hike to see monkeys, sloth, or birds, or in a vehicle to see far away. I now leave them in my suitcase so I always have them.
Netherlands or Oregon???
Oregon has this amazing tulip festival every year between the beginning of April and the end of May. Rows and rows or gorgeous tulips. The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival has been around for years and gaining popularity. The grounds are very manicured and family friendly. There are local artist set up and vendors. Tickets are bought online ahead of time. Oregon is definitely one of my favorite states. What do you wanna know?
The Catacombs of Paris (French: Catacombes de Paris, pronunciationⓘ) are underground ossuaries in Paris, France, which hold the remains of more than six million people.[2] Built to consolidate Paris's ancient stone quarries, they extend south from the Barrière d'Enfer ("Gate of Hell") former city gate; the ossuary was created as part of the effort to eliminate the effects of the city's overflowing cemeteries. Preparation work began shortly after a 1774 series of basement wall collapses around the Holy Innocents' Cemetery added a sense of urgency to the cemetery-eliminating measure, and from 1786, nightly processions of covered wagons transferred remains from most of Paris's cemeteries to a mine shaft opened near the Rue de la Tombe-Issoire. The ossuary remained largely forgotten until it became a novelty-place for concerts and other private events in the early 19th century; after further renovations and the construction of accesses around Place Denfert-Rochereau, it was opened to public visitation from 1874. Since 2013, the Catacombs have numbered among the fourteen City of Paris Museums managed by Paris Musées. What is the difference between a travel converter and an adapter?
The big difference between an adapter and a converter is electricity. While the purpose of an adapter is to simply help the plugs on your electronics fit into (or more aptly, adapt to the shape of) foreign outlets, a converter's job is to change the voltage found in an outlet to match that of your devices.
There are a lot of options out there and many countries use different adapters. Even if you're on a cruise, you may need an adaptor. Our last river cruise, we needed 2 adaptors ( Europe and Switzerland use different adaptors).
