Our story starts in the Summer of 2015 Nashville aka “ Music City USA” had just found itself as THE party destination for bach parties, corporate conferences, country music lovers and foodies after receiving the title of “IT” city in 2014. Nashville had always been an incrediblely fun place to visit but now the secret was now out. Almost overnight Nashville saw a massive increase in tourism for groups looking to blow off a little steam for a quick getaway. This included bachelorette parties and young adults who loved country music.
As Nashville was quickly becoming the “New Vegas,” massive 3 story bars, high resturants, luxury hotels and “drinking tours” began popping up. People loved the Downtown Nashville, espeacially the h***y tonk bars, but they opted for something very Nashville, something that would let them see Nashville while drinking a cold beverage. Enter the “transportatinment” era. (Transportainment is a term used to describe “tours that are performed on moving vechiles that serve beverages to guests.)
2015 Downtown Nashville was being ruled by pedal bars, golf carts and convertible limos. Nashville was Our owner, Grant Rosenblatt, a Nashville native, worked in the tourism industry large group sightseeing & party tours begining in 2012. As Nashville began to grow in popularity so did the needs of the tourist coming to visit. Long gone were the days of older couples coming here to visit or small groups of friends. New Nashville had arrived and it brought with it large groups of people who came together. This is convention people, large bachelorette parties and friend groups. Nashville become a destination city.
Grant noticed a huge gap in the market. After sepaking with literally 100’s of groups visiting Nashville, there was no one catering to larger groups in the transporatinment industry. All the drinking tours were bascially the same DNA, which was they weren’t made for big groups, you had to stay seated, awful sound systems and well, they were just plain boring to ride. The idea behind the H***y Tonk Party Express was to create something that had enough room for alot of friends to hangout, dance, be open-air, mobile, it had to come with an amazing VIP bartender. Dancing was a must!
