At just 14, Rylee Barry has already built an impressive professional resume, packed with powerhouse performances that have captivated audiences—from intimate dinner shows to major venues like Vanderbilt, Belmont, and the Nashville Sounds stadium. Since the age of 7, she’s trained under the exceptional Daphne Anderson, honing a voice that effortlessly channels the soul of classic country legends like Patsy Cline and Lee Ann Rimes. But Rylee’s talent doesn’t stop there—she brings her own flair to the stage with modern influences like Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish. Music isn’t just a passion for Rylee—it’s her purpose. And those lucky enough to hear her sing don’t just listen—they feel it. We had a gorgeous day in historic St Francisville! We toured The Myrtles and the beautiful Afton Villa Gardens. Later we stopped at the West Baton Rouge Museum.

When I heard we were going to the Hansen’s Museum while on our Baton Rouge trip- I was not thrilled. However, it ended up being one of the most fascinating stops we went to! I didn’t even know that leprosy wasn’t the proper name anymore and had NO idea that we sent people to basically live in a commune.

What a beautiful morning we had at a local farmers market in Baton Rouge before heading to Cajun Village for a hands on jambalaya making experience! If hands on is what your groups love- THIS is the best!

What a fun day 2 we had! This afternoon we went to the Global Wildlife Center! We jumped in open air jeeps and took off to feed the animals. This was incredible! To end the night, we were immersed in a hands on King Cake making class. Mine was hand carried through the airport on my way home of course!

Day 2 in Louisiana took us to the Hungarian Settlement Museum and Livingston Visitor Center before heading to Ponchatoula- The Strawberry Capital of the World! Afterwards we had a phenomenal lunch at Middendorf’s. The second half of day 2 gets its own post so stay tuned!

Day 1 of our Baton Rouge trip was so fun! We had a city tour including the Capitol Park Museum, and the old and new State Capitol. I’m not a huge museum/old building tour person but I LOVED this tour. It was gorgeous and our guide had great stories. The people were so kind at each venue and the Capitol Park Musuem was so well done. We had some free time and dinner on Perkins Row next to end a great arrival day.
