It was such a pleasure to share part of my story on the Women of Airbnb Podcast a few weeks ago and so excited that the episode is out in the world now for all to hear! We talk about my move to Nashville to play violin, my Short Term Rental hosting journey, and how my years on the road as a musician and road manager shaped my hosting style. Read this gem by cover to cover on a long flight last week. Still chewing on so much of and will be for a long time. I didn’t know I could possibly be more energized about hosting guests than I already am, but suddenly I’ve leveled up even further. A fantastic read, and Will if you’re ever in Nashville, I’d love to extend some Unreasonable Hospitality your way, style, of course.

Eight years ago today we were scurrying to get set up to welcome our first guests ever. It’s so funny to reflect on this candid snapshot and realize all the things that are different now; that “art” I’m hanging up for one thing. The bed. The blanket. The coffeemaker. The fact that I no longer look like a teenager. 🤣

I know a whole lot more about the nuts and bolts of hosting that the girl in this picture ever dreamed she’d learn. But one thing remains the same - our love for welcoming people and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for.

Well hot taco… is open in Nashville!
If you find yourself in Midtown near Vandy (near where Ken’s Sushi used to be for us old-timers) grab yourself summa that green chili queso and any taco that strikes your fancy. They are all AMAZING.

Ventured over to the Gulch last night for our first meal at and already looking forward to a return visit. This Spanish Tapas spot was gorgeous and vibey from the furnishings and fixtures to the plating of the food. As dish after dish came out our tummies got happier and happier. The “B.W.D” is a must-order (first food pic of bacon wrapped delights) and ended up the evening with black pepper cheesecake; a first for us!

Gave the living room a little spruce this morning with a fresh area rug!

This is one of the most high traffic spots in our space and we try to keep it fresh and clean with a new rug every few months. Just another way we keep our space up to date and extra tidy for all our guests.

Our super talented neighbor is the owner of and while he also builds magnificent furniture pieces, we are pretty enchanted with his “Madelyn” coffee tray. Perfectly sized to tote your coffee and a snack around the house with you and available in 4 different wood tones (check out his instagram for your options, this one is the Maple) it’s an amazing gift for someone you love…or yourself. Let’s talk about fitness...specifically “fittin this” class into your schedule! One of our amazing neighbors owns @marathonpilates and I’ve LOVED getting to try both a beginner and a Level 1 class this past week. The space is gorgeous and clean, the instructors are helpful, patient and explain things in a way that make sense even for a first timer. The space is located less than a block from The 12 South Carriage House so it’s super convenient for guests…and yes they offer single class passes if you’re already familiar with reformer Pilates and looking for somewhere to take a class on the road! Take a quick trip outside Nashville with us for a moment! Can’t believe I never shared this reel from our trip to the @arizonabiltmore ! The architecture was some of my favorite that I’ve ever seen and I just sort of walked around with my mouth agape the whole trip. It’s a complicated story of architects Albert Chase McArthur & Frank Lloyd Wright and really beautiful to behold. The most delicious date night at @butcherandbee tonight. So worth the drive to the East side; every bite was unbelievable and our server Amanda was the most hospitable. Sitting at the chef’s counter was *chef’s kiss* best seat in the house.
