Let me share an insider travel tip with you:

Crafting a truly memorable trip requires not just going with the flow but truly taking a personalized approach to things.

When I‘m faced with a sea of activity options for client itineraries, I always think back to our initial discussions, where you give me the full scoop on your interests, travel style, and past adventures.

Maybe you‘re into nature.
Or maybe you’re an art lover.
Or maybe you just love to find the best spots to take pictures.

I’m cataloging all of this for future travel ideas.

Each activity contributes to the overall feel of your trip.

So, take a moment to visualize the kind of experiences you want to have.

This is valuable information for me. It guides me in curating the perfect itinerary with moments that truly resonate with your interests.

And if we haven’t had the pleasure of working together yet, take this list of things you’ve visualized and use it to keep yourself laser-focused as you plan your trip — the internet has a way of pulling even the best traveler in sooo many directions.

Hope you find this travel tip handy!

If you‘re ready to plan your next escape or have any questions, I‘m just a call or DM away.

Here‘s why relying on the internet may not be your best option for booking a trip.

Those sparkly hotel photos you see plastered all over Google?

They‘re not always accurate representations of reality. Take it from someone who’s visited many of them in person.

And don‘t even get me started on the reviews — because what ‘wows‘ one person might totally disappoint another.

This is where I come in — I dive deep into everything for my clients.

I give you the raw facts on everything you need to know about trips you’re considering – from what to really expect from your rooms and amenities to tips on how to make the most of your time.

My recommendations aren‘t based on pretty pictures or popular opinions — they’re based on facts and first-hand experiences.

Because let‘s face it, the last thing you want is to be stuck in a state of underwhelm when you should be living your best life in the sun (or snow, if that’s your thing).

What if I told you that this summer may not actually be the best time to take that trip to Europe?

I don’t mean to rain on anybody’s parade, but with T-Swift, the Olympics, and, well, it just being summer in Europe, this year will be crowded, pricey, and a little bit wild.

If you‘re looking for a more low-key adventure to sip Italian wine and people-watch, I recommend setting your sights on September and October.

Here are 3 Fall getaways to Europe to get your creativity flowing:

✈Lisbon, Portugal: With its charming streets, beautiful weather, and delicious cuisine, Lisbon is a fantastic destination for a relaxed fall getaway. You can wander through the historic neighborhoods of Alfama and Bairro Alto, enjoy panoramic views from Miradouros (viewpoints), and indulge in fresh seafood and pastries. The city has a laid-back atmosphere and plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy the mild autumn weather.

✈Bruges, Belgium: Known as the "Venice of the North," Bruges is a picturesque medieval town with cobblestone streets, romantic canals, and stunning architecture. In the fall, the crowds thin out, making it an ideal time to explore the city at a leisurely pace. You can take a boat tour along the canals, visit the charming Markt square, and sample delicious Belgian chocolate and beer.

✈Cinque Terre, Italy: This cluster of five colorful villages along the rugged Ligurian coastline is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a perfect destination for a relaxed fall getaway. You can hike along scenic coastal trails, take in breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, and savor fresh seafood and local wines. The crowds tend to diminish in the fall, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of Cinque Terre at your own pace.

During these months, the warmth of summer still lingers, but the crowds will drop drastically and if you’re lucky, you may have a few of those “Are we the only ones here?” moments.

Have I convinced you of a European Fall instead of a European summer? Tell me in the comments!

Ah, the joy of getting lost in a good book while soaring through the sky! ✈️ There‘s just something about reading with the clouds around you that hits differently, or on a sundrenched patio am I right?

This is for my bookworms.

Here’s my top three favorite literary gems to add to your reading list for your next flight.

1️⃣ Tom Lake by Ann Patchett: I LOVED this read. Not only is it set in my hometown of Traverse City, MI but it tells the beautiful story of a woman's life admist the backdrop of the pandemic. Such a heartfelt read.

2️⃣ Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt: I couldn't put it down. This story is wound together in such a beautiful way I had tears and a smile at the same time.

3️⃣ Beach Read by Emily Henry: Sometimes you just need a cute rom-com for vacay that keeps it light and fun.

What are you currently reading? Share your top picks in the comments below so I can start adding to my collection!

Hey Foodies 👋 How can you make sure you don‘t miss out on the best food spots on your next big trip?

It will all come down to a few key factors:

➡️ What comes to mind when you think of a great food experience?

Is it indulging in gourmet meals? Exploring local cuisine? Or are you more of a hands-on person who would love to learn how to cook traditional dishes? Decide what you like so you can prioritize it in your itinerary.

➡️ How long is your trip?

Do you have lots of time to explore, or just a few days? Depending on how long you‘ll be at your destination, you‘ll want to make room for the best recommendations but leave space to stumble upon spots that may not be on Google.

➡️ Have you consulted anyone else?

Some of the best spots are found through word-of-mouth. I‘m a bit of a foodie myself (hello, Chef husband…comes with the deal) and I love researching and connecting with locals to find the best spots for my clients‘ adventures. I found my clients the perfect restaurant in the south of France to celebrate their anniversary. It was a place for the locals and they couldn’t have felt more taken care of, they loved it.

Find this helpful? Follow for more travel tips and tidbits and when you’re ready send me a message and let‘s start planning your culinary adventure.
