This is a nice tour because we unpack only once and use the charming town of Montecatini as our launching point for daily memorable Tuscan adventures. There's something to be said about getting to know the hotel owners and staff that make you feel at home.
Also this is a very reasonably priced tour for such a great experience.
Even though we leave Montecatini everyday for an adventure the town itself is pretty magical. We stay in a more modern section (built in the 1800's) where there are conveniences of restaurants, shopping and a piazza to people watch. Behind us is a section from the 1880's with more of the Gilded age feel. Grand, opulent structures with a big park and rows of shopping cabanas. From there you can take the Funicular to the Medieval hill top section of town for more restaurants and an amazing view of the near by Tuscan towns.
I have a million pictures on my phone to show you. Message me through the website and we can get together to talk more about this tour.

This tour will fill up very quickly so please get with me soon

You can not just walk into an school so this is a unique experience just for us. We are at a vocational highschool where the students learn agriculture, cheese making, hotel and restaurant managent, culinary skills including baking, cooking and BARTENDING!
The students gave us a tour of the greenhouses, the cheese factory, balsamic vinegar making facility and then they made us a wonderful lunch. The students also run a small retail shop selling their handmade foods and plants. A truly great behind the scenes experience for our group!

Here is a link to this tour that we will do again in the fall of 2025.

In all of my travels throughout Italy, I have never come across an olive oil company like this one.
All of the olives are still hand-picked when ripe from their own olive groves located in the beautiful Umbrian countryside.
At Carletti the olives do not go through any modern machinery. In fact their press used to be run by donkeys and oxen before electricity.
The response to their oil has been exuberant and now Coco’s imports it here for all to enjoy.
If you tour Italy with me and we are in Tuscany chances are that you will meet Carlo and his family.
The flavor profile is a perfect balance of fruity and grassy notes, with a hint of peppery undertones. The vibrant golden color reflects the care and quality of the olives used in its old-fashioned production process. You will appreciate it as a dressing or drizzling over your favorite dishes.

Try a can of Carletti Family Olive oil then visit them with me on our next tour to Tuscany.

Ciao a tutti,
I am here all week to talk to you about the tours to Italy. All 6 tours for 2024 have been sold out for quite some time so I just added Spotlight on Northern Italy for this June.
We unpack our bags only once and stay in the centrally located wonderful town of Treviso. That is our jumping-off point for daily adventures of history, art, shopping, lots of beautiful photos, and of course great foods and wines.

🥰🍷I make Italy easy and fun to enjoy and all of the tours sell out so if you are interested please message me to meet up as soon as you can. If you can't meet up we can talk on the phone. (I hate disappointing people when the tours are full so contact me if you are in the least bit interested...) There are other tours available for 2025.
A tour to Italy would make a GReat gift to each other, and memories last a lifetime!
Here is a link to the tour details: https://destinationitalybycocos.com/.../experience.../

11/23/2023

Ciao a tutti,

During the holidays when families and friends gather, conversations often turn to your vacation plans and I get a lot of Italian travel inquiries.

ALL six tours for 2024 are fully booked! The demand has been overwhelming, and I want to express my deepest gratitude for your enthusiasm. But fear not, because just last week, I secured availability for a Northern Italy tour in early June of 2024.

We just toured Northern Italy last June and it was so fantastic and I am eager to go back! We stay in one hotel in a quaint town as our jumping-off point so you only unpack once! From there, we have our daily Italiano adventures. It's so unique, you will love it for so many reasons and I'm excited to tell you about it.

So obviously the tours sell out. In fact, one tour for 2025 is already sold out! That's why I'm urging you not to wait – give me a call if you're even remotely interested. I'd hate for you to miss out on this unique journey and I hate disappointing people when I tell them that the tours are already full.

Forward this to your friends and family then text my travel cell at 615 474-5989 and I will call you back, or email me at [email protected]

While some of the group went to Siena with Sergio I stayed back in Montecatini Terme to further scout out the local area and I came upon a charming woman and her gelato shop that has been in her family for 53 years.

It's located just through the park from the hotel to an old shopping district. The park is surrounded by so many styles of architecture through history, it is so fascinating and I took too many photos to post. There are several neighborhoods, activity areas, performing arts stages, fountains, restaurants, cafes, monuments and shopping district all within feet of our hotel which was built in 1820.

I look forward to introducing you to this most wonderful town and Alassandra for a gelato as we will be doing this same exact tour in April of 2025.

Here we go again, Cocos Italian Market's final tour of 2023.
What I love about this tour is that we we unpack only once and stay in a locally owned grand hotel in the heart of Montecatini, our home base for 8 days. Most days we leisurely travel to nearby Tuscan towns for their famous wines and foods, take in the natural beauty, and marvel at the storied history that awaits Coco's customers.

Keep an eye out to Facebook this week for pics of where we have been and if you are interested in traveling with us to Italy text my travel cell at 615 474-5989 and I will message you back for a chat or meet up at the restaurant.
I have a video that answers most of the questions people have about our tours at this link:
https://youtu.be/mF4nbTMtXjM

Lucca, Florence, Pisa, Siena, Borgo Mozzano, San Gimigano. Along the way we will have a winery visit, Pecorino cheese farm visit, a journey to Chinque Terr,e and a cooking class with typical Tuscan ingredients.

Stay tuned at Coco's Italian Market's Facebook and Instagram.

Ciao for now,
Chuck

10/14/2023

For the last three nights we stayed in a Tuscan Palazzo that was built from the 1360's on. It was too big to photograph plus it is part of the medieval city walls with several entrances to the towns Piazza and local roads. Truly amazing, each hotel out-did the previous and all were so unique and fascinating in their own right but this was a vacation in itself. The royal family had a brother who was a Pope at one time and his bedroom, office and meeting rooms were made available for our group to see as the current owner gave us a private tour of several of the locked rooms and huge wine cellar. There are 80 rooms for guests along with contemplation gardens, courtyards, restaurants, two pools, a spa, and agricultural museum. Real suits of armor, famous frecos and paintings adorned every area. From the 1700's they produced wheat and vegetables and from the 1890's wine and olive oil. Today they are producing 45,000 bottles of each a year.
From the 1980's on a couple of suites are used to perform plastic surgery and as a "recuperation vacation".
Our private tour and wine tasting w dinner pairing was performed by one of the family members. We had so many questions about this Palazzo that Anna said she is writing a book about the place. It is beyond words to walk back in time and staying in an actual palace with so much history like this.

If you would like to join me for one of Cocos Italian Market tours to Italy message me through the website at www.DestinationItalyByCocos.com or text my travel cell at 615 474-5989 and leave me a message. I will get back with you and we can see if one of my tours works out.
In the meantime I made a video on YouTube that answers most of the questions folks have about the tours and traveling with me.

Today we wander with our local guide Victoria through Lucca, delving into the heritage and storied past of this city encircled by 16th-century Renaissance walls.

What a beautiful way to spend our day.
Now that we are in Tuscany of course I ordered homemade Pici, the local pasta cut. Soooo good. This version is w pistachio, pancetta and burata cheese. I never get tired of coming back to Tuscany, it is so photogenic and quaint and like walking back in time and if you would like to visit Tuscany with me on our next tour email or text me through the travel website www.DestinationItalyByCocos.com.

Coco's Italian Market is sponsoring an Italian Language and Travel seminar for first timers to Italy.

Hosted by native born language teacher Viviana Luison who wants you to have the best possible experience in her beautiful country.

This is money well spent as you will have more confidence and comfort to get the most out of your trip. For two hours you will learn the ins and outs of traveling to and through Italy.

With Viviana you will go over what to expect at the airport, transportation once you arrive with taxis, trains, subways(Rome), hotels, cathedrals, museums and of course how to order in restaurants and coffee shops, tipping and so much more.

You'll receive a handy handout from Viviana that covers the most important words and phrases you'll need to navigate Italy like a pro. You can keep it with you and refer to it throughout your travels, ensuring you have everything you need to make the most of your Italian adventure.

From this seminar Viviana may launch a 10 week Italian language class for travelers if there is enough interest. If you would prefer private lessons or are past the beginner's stage she has in person and zoom classes available also.

Our goal is that you fall in love with Italy and we want you to leave the seminar excited, feeling confident and fully prepared to navigate Italy's stunning landscapes and rich culture.

Thanks for thinking of traveling with me and being a customer here at Coco's

Usually I'll meet up with interested travelers at the restaurant and we go over the tours and locations available. I've found that most people have the same 8 to 10 questions so I made a video that answers a lot of them. People like the video because I shot the footage myself and it shows a lot of the neat places we visit.

This morning we were the first ones allowed in the Vatican museum as we had a nice breakfast waiting for us in the Pinecone courtyard.
Now we enter the the third largest museum in the world, but the largest museum as far as quantity of the antiquities. The collection of Greek and Roman statues were amazing.
St. Peters was closed till noon because of the Wednesday blessings with Pope Francis so we will be back later. I was told of an authentic Sicilian pastry shop and that is where we are headed. Mamamia!

After a double espresso today we explore a city that has had inhabitants for over 3,000 years. On our way passing architecture that is amazing from Pre Roman to Baroque, Renaissance and pre WWII Rational style.
We made our ways to the christan catacombs that became an important part of the early Church, beside 7 Popes being entombed here so were a half a million people. Next we walked were Romans traveled south on the Apian Way built 2,300 years ago.
What a great morning, perfect weather and no crowds this time of year!
Now we will head to the Piazza Novana for a favorite lunch spot of mine.
