GBTA-Tennessee would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us for our packed house yesterday at the Hilton Nashville Green Hills for our first Chapter Meeting of 2025!!!! It was an extraordinary event with 60 registrations where both members and guests gained a profound appreciation for Nashville and the rich history behind our beloved Music City.

Special thanks to speaker David Steele Ewing - a ninth generation Nashvillian & historian who shared countless valuable insights about our city that even our locals found enlightening! David’s passion and love for Nashville’s history were truly inspiring.

🏆 At our 2024 Board Retreat and Strategy Session, Ronni was honored with the "Most Likely to Be President & to Be Paged at the Airport” superlative.

On January 1, she will officially take on the role of GBTA Tennessee President, leading the Tennessee chapter to the next frontier. 🚀 She may or may not also be paged for leaving something behind at TSA at the Nashville airport, but that’s another story. 😉

When Ronni’s not busy opening the beautiful new Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown and welcoming guests and groups through the front door to Nashville, she also plays an integral role in GBTA’s Legislative Advisory Council. 🏛️ Last summer at the Legislative Summit, we saw Ronni in action, passionately advocating for the Farm Bill and teaching its merits to some of the actual bill sponsors. It was a master class in lobbying! 🌾✍️
She is a true advocate for business travel (& JDRF) and we’re so excited that she will be setting the agenda for the next two years. 💼✈️ Her commitment and ability to approach every task with enthusiasm and a sense of challenge make her truly exceptional! 🌟

Sabrina brings positive leadership, empathy, passion and dedication to the travel industry and her role as Travel Manager at Vanderbilt University. Favorite Community Organization / Volunteer Opportunity: Turnip Green Creative Reuse - this amazing organization diverts usable material from our landfill for creative endeavors. They take in donated hard-to-recycle materials and redistribute them back to community members & partner with local schools through a shopping center, education programming, and studio workshops. If you’re cleaning out your craft closet – they should be your first stop!

Favorite Place to Travel: Barrier islands, peninsulas—you name it! I love traveling to places where you feel truly untethered from the world. Whether it’s an island reached by bridge, a ferry ride, or a plane, there’s something incredibly freeing about being surrounded by water, disconnected and fully immersed in the experience.

Favorite place to go/things to do in Tennessee: That’s like asking to pick your favorite child! Tennessee offers something for everyone! The Great Smoky Mountains are perfect for hiking and camping, while Nashville’s honky-tonks and the Grand Ole Opry showcase its famous music scene. Visit Graceland in Memphis, Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, or explore Land Between the Lakes for camping and boating. Chattanooga’s Lookout Mountain and Franklin’s historic sites add even more charm to this adventure-filled state. I love our state and so proud to be a native Nashvillian & Tennessean!

What do you love the most about being on the board of GBTA | Tennessee: The GBTA Tennessee board is so meaningful to me because of the connections you make both locally and as you represent the chapter. Working alongside such passionate, dedicated individuals who genuinely care about making an impact in our industry makes every meeting and event inspiring, fun, and full circle. The friendships and business travel connections I've made have been invaluable, and there’s a special energy that comes from collaborating with people who share similar goals and values. Making lifelong friends is a BONUS!

At our 2023 Retreat and Strategy Session Superlative session, Madame President was awarded the “Queen of our Hearts”. She is one of the most respected and kind human beings you will ever meet. From honoring the past to celebrating the now and getting hyped for the future, we went all out—and we SMASHED our fundraising goal at the Fogg Street Lawn Club! 💥

All of your winning bids will make a huge difference for our 2025 scholarships and donation to the Nashville Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition 🌼

Massive shoutout to our GBTA TN fundraising committee whose creativity is OFF the rails, event sponsors, all the auction donors, and our epic members who know how to keep the party going! 🔥💯 This night was one for the books, and trust us... we’re not getting over it anytime soon. 😎🕹️
