Expert Sandcastle Builder: Found ✅

Fun Fact: Our signature white sand is actually made up of tiny grains of quartz – grains that have traveled a long way to end up on our beaches. They were created tens of thousands of years ago by minerals from the Appalachian Mountains that washed down America’s rivers to the Gulf of Mexico. As time passed, the other minerals eroded into dust and were washed away. However, the shiny white quartz grains remained and were ultimately deposited onto the shores of the Gulf.

The resulting sand gave Navarre Beach its signature look and softness, the perfect texture for building the ultimate sandcastles.

Andy D’s Restaurant soft opens tomorrow - Friday, March 3rd in the former location of Broussard’s Bayou Grill. They will serve “beachy” food such as burgers, fish dinners, and tropical drinks and will be open for lunch and dinner. According to owner Andy Demartin, the restaurant will have a fresh new look on the inside and out. The Navarre Beach restaurant plans to have their grand opening in late April/early May.

Information on tonight's Navarre Beach FIreworks
The event will kick off at 6 p.m. with a non-motorized Children’s Parade and at 7 p.m. the band Duchess will perform. Fireworks will launch from the end of Navarre Beach Fishing Pier after sunset around 9 p.m. The fireworks will be visible from both the beach and the sound side east and west of the Navarre Beach Causeway Bridge.

One of the “Florida’s Best Kept Secret” Navarre Beach welcome signs has a new home at the newly renovated Navarre Park.
The sign was donated back to the county by the Navarre Beach Beautification Committee and was unveiled this morning at the Navarre Park Ribbon Cutting for Phase 1.
