Wiseman’s View in Western North Carolina offers one of the best views of the Linville Gorge, often referred to as the “Grand Canyon of Eastern America”. Here you’ll find two stone observation areas where you can perch on the cliffs at an elevation of 3,400 feet and look out over the deepest gorge in the eastern USA, with the Linville River running through and dramatic peaks like those from Hawskbill and Table Rock Mountain towering in the distance. Some of the best views in the US, and only about a 5-10 minute walk along a paved path from the parking area to reach!
