Capt Henry had the Harvester out this morning for a great day on the tuna grounds. Weather was definitely a 10/10, doesn't get much nicer. Helps too that the fish cooperated! Many bites today on jigs poppers and chunks, with some quality yellowfin hitting the ice. Definitely could've capitalized on some of the other bites, but that's fishing! Good day regardless with a great crew. Thanks guys!

Took a gamble on today with the not so promising forecast. Thankful we did for sure, as it was not bad at all out for the first couple hours. Made our way to the grounds and the first bait out got smoked right out of my hands. The guys were definitely in for a ride as the fish almost spooled us 3 times. Took the whole crew plus some help from Nick but after a 1 hour 15 minute fight, we stuck a nice 64" butterball. Shifted our focus over to squids for a while to let the crew regain some energy to fight another fish. Had 1 more bite after that but never really had him hooked. Crew decided to pack it in early as the winds were picking up and only 1 guy was able/willing to fight another fish if we hooked up again lol. Thanks for a fun day guys and congrats Jeffery on your first tuna! That heart looked like it tasted great 🤮

Very good tuna fishing on the Harvester today! Made the decision last night to push back our leave time to mid morning to let the wind lay out a little. Left the dock around 11:30 and made our way to the grounds. Had double header squids coming up instantly and the first bait that we put in the water got smoked within 2 minutes. Fish fought like a shark but we got it to the boat in short order and killed a 50" bluefin. Immediately set back up on our drift, set the rods out and as we were setting the second rod we got our second bite. This one had a little more heart but we got it to the boat and released a 53". By this time the guys were smoked so we set up and focused on squid for a bit. As soon as we set back up, one of our squid jigs was inhaled on the way up and almost spooled our little rod🙄so naturally we put the baits back out and hooked up pretty quickly again. Landing and releasing #3 about the same size as the others. Had a little bit of a lull in the action as we lost a fish and missed a couple of bites but the squids were definitely ferocious to keep the guys working. Hasan thought it was a great idea to put a bait out on a noodle rod, and of course shortly after it was set it started screaming. He definitely paid for it but we chased it around and released our last fish of the day. Guys decided they had enough and we headed for the barn.
Ended the day going 4-6 on 50-53" bluefin and as many squid as you wanted. Absolute awesome day on the inshore grounds.

The beat goes on! Another over Bluefin for the Harvester Sportfishing Charters crew today. Able to land this beautiful 56" fish and head back to the dock for lunch! What an amazing fishery we're blessed with here. Give me a call to get in on it!!

WOW, that felt good. We've been a bit quiet lately, as we've been down for some (what felt like never ending) maintenance. But finally got everything done and got to take her out on a quick shakedown trip this afternoon. Tuna gods were looking down on us for sure today going 3-4 on bluefins up to 60" in only a couple hours of fishing. Insta bites on every drift with even some exotics in the mix😳 It's great to see a bunch of Cobia around too! Was definitely wild watching the tunas come up and eat our baits on our Furuno Marine Electronics screens. Great afternoon!

Yellowfin beatdown!!! Capt Justin and Capt Henry decided to take a run out to the grounds to scout a bit and boy did we find them! Consistent bites all day going 15-22 on 40lb class yellowfin. Even had them on the surface pushing water a few times and went 1-3 on the poppers! Great day on the midshore grounds with very large areas of fish.

The Harvester Sportfishing Charters is down in Shark River and is ready to go! Sailing out of Shark River Yacht Club.

Midshore trips are 12-14 hours long.

Fare is $450pp plus tip or $2700 plus tip for up to 6 passengers

Wrapped up our Seabass season with a couple more banner trips! Quality size limits for all! Thanks to everyone who fished with us this season!

We will now shift our focus to inshore tunas👀 and fluke!

3 trips the past 3 days have all seen absolutely insane seabass fishing. All trips only took 1 stop each day to box a quick and easy limit. Some jumbos are in the mix too with a handful of fish over 18" each day. This fishery has been nothing less than amazing this year.

Wednesday and Thursday are available for private charter and are the LAST openings for Seabass season. Get in on it while you can!

Capt Henry had the boat out this morning with Will and his crew. Took a long run looking for some jig fish and that's what they found! Great action for hours with an easy limit and many releases. Only 1 more week until we move down to Shark River for Sea Bass! Still have some availability left, give us a call!
