In a first-of-its-kind breakthrough, the Egyptian-Spanish archaeological mission uncovered stunning finds:
Golden tongues and nails on mummies within Ptolemaic tombs.
Amulets and scarabs of Djed Pillar, Horus, Isis, and Thoth.
Ritual texts and scenes of deities revealed for the first time in Al-Bahnasa.
This discovery, which includes a well-preserved collective burial site and vividly decorated tombs, sheds light on the funerary customs and religious practices of the Ptolemaic period. Unearthed treasures include golden coverings, heart scarabs, amulets, and breathtaking depictions of gods such as Osiris, Anubis, and Nut with stellar backdrops.

This monumental find represents a significant addition to the historical narrative of the Al-Bahnasa region and opens new chapters on Egypt’s ancient heritage. The team continues excavations to uncover more secrets of this fascinating archaeological gem.
